Dogs are trainable and thus have a high level of intelligence. Dogs are the preferred pet and assistant for MEN.

Think of all the things dogs can do the cats will never be able to accomplish. In the the wild, dogs used to hunt just like cats. But most dogs nowadays are no longer natural hunters.

Frequent travel does not allow me to have a dog. Solitary cats actually make pretty good silent alarms. The minute anything is up they give out warning behavior. Really good at detecting anything. This cat can tell if someone is coming to the front door before they even know it! The darn thing is clairvoyant and it came from a dumpster.

Some cats are quite good and knowing their surroundings, especially if they are outdoor cats. If you yourself are observant they make better guards than dogs. Dogs are loud and give themselves up always barking unless trained extremely well. Of course a dog is always gonna be better for specific tasks and for fighting off intruders.

Personally, I like one single cat that is self reliant for the most part and not multiple cats. Self feeding, exercising and watering. The solitary cat is silent, so my neighbors never know I am not home when they come around wanting something. The cat gives me silent warning of annoying neighbors approaching with ample time to prepare.

I love all animals, dogs and cats.

By far the smartest pet we ever had was a cross kelpie-cattle dog. He was one smart motherf~~~er. Trained him to do tricks in about 30 to 60 seconds, and he’d never forget them.

They are called man’s best friend for a reason. Cats are fun though and DGAF.
