Wow, that is a lot different than the other one. Here’s another pic of the gal I was pretending to be. You said she looked fake. I think Ivy is the fake one. At least my gal is consistently attractive.

I belonged to a hobby forum which came *that* close to dying several years ago because of spam bots. All the excuses that site’s mods had then and there were the same ones we read here and now; We need to remain welcoming”, “We can’t have hurdles in the way of joining”, “We need to be easily found by web searches”, etc., etc. , etc.

All those noble beliefs and good intentions didn’t mean s~~~ when the tsunami began. Sadly, they were only replaced by more pragmatic attitudes when it became obvious that the site was days away from dying. The site survived after a fashion, but it was never the same. The bot intrusion had lasted months and the cleaning up after them took even longer. Many long term members who’d left during the floods never bothered to return. They’d found other places and fell out of the habit of visiting.
