In some cases (where the man has assets), the alimony and child support doesn’t even stop when the man dies. In some cases the man’s estate has to continue payments after the man dies. I knew a doc whose estate had to continue payments for 5 years after his death. His loving wife ran off with the postman and she was too upset over the adultery to work again.
