This PC version of “Pirates of the Caribbean” came out about 15 years before Pirates.

The film was called “Cut Throat Island” and stared Gena Davis, ultra feminist mensa member as the pirate captain. She had a cabin boy that polished her boots let’s say.

She had an evil man to go up against.

It was all female so there were no special effects or stunt work. There was no CGI and the film cost a whopping 100 million to make and made 10 million at the box office.
