PS the absolute LAST thing Japan is looking for is war with anybody.

The Japanese government has to deal the ongoing Fukushima nuclear meltdown, their economy is in the toilet, and their birthrate is nonexistent. The Japanese government needs to distract the Japanese people and war with North Korea would do that job.

Under treaty Japan cannot start a war, but they can respond to an act of war.

They don’t have the ability or the will to fight Mothra at this point.

Japan has been having a quiet military build up over the last decade.

    A) You are assuming without fact that a somehow re-negotiated NAFTA is presumably a better deal than the old NAFTA, and not a breach of his campaign promise. Now Unless you have a time machine and have gone forward in time to see the result your statement is otherwise just mere supposition.

To repeat myself, again. I remember in several of President Trump’s campaign speeches where he talked about renegotiating NAFTA and only pulling out of NAFTA if he could not renegotiate.

President Trump is not going to have the 67 votes in the Senate to ratify a new treaty. Even with the best of results from the 2018 election, he is not going to have that many votes in the Senate.

But, President Trump can renegotiate NAFTA on favorable terms for the U.S. without the Senate.

Yesterday, President Trump forced Canada and Mexico to the bargaining table by threatening to pull out of NAFTA.

President Trump is only backing away from the border wall for the moment to have further leverage in the renegotiation of NAFTA.

It is all part of the art of the deal.

If President Trump plays his cards right he might be able to get both Mexican and Canada to fund the border wall on the U.S./Mexican border.

Canada would likely pay for part of the border wall in exchange for the U.S. helping Canada stop illegal Mexicans and other illegal invaders from entering Canada through the U.S. This is becoming a problem for Canada.

B)Maybe you missed the press Release but your statement that Trump isn’t bombing Syria is false—he ordered the launch of 50+ missiles in response to a bogus chemical weapon attack I call that being played by the deep state. Did you miss that memo? Or are you playing semantics: missile and bomb are two different things.

We have talked about this. Bogus chemical attack to try to start a war between the U.S. and Russia. The airbase that was struck with missiles was not severely damaged, reports are questionable if anyone was killed, and the airbase resumed its role. They are warned.

The smoke and mirrors was the missile strike on the airbase to appear to do something to silence those screaming for World War III, then President Trump pivoted to North Korea to take control of the narrative.

    C) The pivot to NK is all smoke/mirrors/posturing.

If it was posturing China would not be stopping coal shipments between them and North Korea.

I think we will have to be content to agree to disagree; the good news is that time will tell which of us was right. I’m still willing to give Trump the benefit of the doubt but only until the mid-terms.

One last thought about Japan. One reason Germany is now a basket case is because the allies spent YEARS purging the marshal traditions and militaristic culture of Germany—that is why Germany is finished. Well in the case of Japan the spirit of the samurai and the code of Bushido went up in smoke at Hiroshima—they are finished as a people and culture. Its only a question of time and a war would only hasten the process.

You know what the irony is? All Trump has to do is tell the American people he needs his help in removing the deep state. Report to DC ASAP with whatever means people think will help him drain the swamp.

You’ll see the largest army gathered in DC hours with more support inbound.

He isn’t a captive. He just stop being alpha and lost his b~~~~.

He needs to do more of this instead of being a beta.

Well said. He never appears to be in charge these days.

Good discussion. I think there’s something to be said for both sides. I also think that it’s really too hard to say this early in his presidency what will happen. I’d like to think Faust is right about Syria, and I find his explanation plausible, but I’m by no means convinced.

However, I still don’t find it plausible that Trump is a tool of the deep state. He faced way too much s~~~ from globalists during the election. American democracy is really an illusion, insofar as the only people who have any chance of winning the general election are people who are incredibly powerful to begin with, but being powerful doesn’t necessarily mean being a globalist tool.

Women are better at multitasking? Fucking up several things at once is not multitasking.
