Long story short….My girlfriend thinks my daughter looks a lot less like my two boys. I got my ex pregnant on accident when I barely knew her and I have no doubt she could have lied to me that my daughter was mine in order to lock me in. I now how full custody of my three kids but I’m wondering if I should or shouldn’t do a paternity test?

So then, he who marries the virgin does well, but he who does not marry her does even better. 1 Corinthians 7:38

Agreed. You’ve got full custody? Just be a good dad to your kids. The past doesnt matter.

    NO—if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

    Yes do it, my reasons:

    1) it’s broken from start.
    2) you have the right to know, and admit it YOU HAVE THE NEED TO KNOW.
    3) the kid has the right to know who the real father is.
    4) medical reasons.
    5) facts trump feelings, this is the real world.
    6) is your life, do as you must, if after knowing is not your child you decide to be a Good Samaritan is your call, explain to you kids why it happened, how it happened.
    7) living in a world of deception is what made us the crap we are today, break the cycle, is time to stop.

May not need one. You may be able to tell if you know everyone’s blood types. Some child blood types just cannot happen with the parents blood types. So you may not even need to go that far.

If its going to keep bothering you, and the blood type doesnt rule it out, get it done. Stealthily.

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

False, the past is everything, the truth will teach your kids not to be victims in the future

I agree with everything Carnage says. Now is not the time though. HOWEVER, If you must do it. Wait til shes 18. Dont do it now while shes still a kid.

Kids are innocent in these situations. Ultimately you have to make the choice yourself but just remember this doesnt just concern you alone. Tread carefully.

Sorry but taking into consideration most people is A+, that’s a false negative.

Only if the kid is a weird group migth make sense, but if one of the parents is A, AB, O, s~~~ gets f~~~ed up. Is a mess.

By some miracle you have custody and aren’t under any support order. At this point a DNA test wouldn’t change anything. You raised her. She’s yours. What would you do if the test came back negative? Unless you need a bone marrow transplant or something like that for her, I wouldn’t bother.

My girlfriend thinks my daughter looks a lot less like my two boys.

Of course she thinks that. Women always like to see other unrelated females pushed out of the nest. It means more for them.

You can sometimes if a child is possibility the offspring of two persons from blood type. There are a lot of websites that show how to tell if a child of one type can be from parents with a specific blood group. The complication is that if a third person is involved with the same blood type, it may lead to the same conclusion. So, it is only a possible preliminary step.

Dude if you need to know, you need to know, STOP DOING THE “I THINK IS THE RIGHT THING” THING.

Is what got us here in the first place, DO WHAT MUST BE DONE WHEN SOMETHING IS WRONG.

That’s what got us here too late, “I married here because was the right thing to do, I could not abandon her, marry and have kids, BE A MEN”

F~~~ all that s~~~, if you have doubts do it, it will come out anyway one day and don’t even expect an “thanks you for raising me”

Wake up guys, world ain’t a pretty place, that’s why we here.

    The kids? F~~~ the kids.

But that’s just me I guess. REMEMBER IM A MONSTER.

By the way if you have doubts there is more than a 50% chance she is not yours, and that increase the risk the other ain’t your either.

Sorry but you know is true.

child thinks you are daddy, why f~~~ with an innocent child like that. that is some cruel s~~~.

If she isn’t yours, do you throw her away? Really after 13 years? You really want to go there?
What do you hope to prove?

Here is a website that gives the blood types of the parents and the possible blood types of their offspring. It may help to decide if you need to test genetically.

I’ll side with the “don’t do it, at least not until she’s grown” opinion. Unless you need to know for medical reasons, what difference does it make now (I’m not asking this to be a smartass — I’m asking it as a real question)?

I would want to know. I have some doubts about my eldest son, and if the ex ever hits me up for child support, I’ll insist on a test.

The kids don’t even have to know.

    But he does.

Test them all, maybe the girl is the only one that is yours. Maybe none of them are.
