There is a bonus to all this female empowerment nonsense that is happening in Hollywood now and it is this – It allows a man to use the strong independent empowered women rhetoric to shut down women effectively.

Here are a few examples:-

Woman: “I am worried about the safety of women in Western Europe due to unchecked immigration.”
Me: “Nope. Women are supposed to be strong independent empowered creatures who don’t need men. I’m sure those Western European women will pull a Rey or a Jyn Erso or a Furiosa and save themselves. Why are you so misogynistic by having such a low opinion of women ? Don’t you think women cannot defend themselves against the might of Muslim men ? ”

Woman: “Most women these days are worried about not getting a man and settling down him to start a family.”
Me: “Women are supposed to be strong independent empowered creatures who don’t need men. Remember Rey ? Jyn Erso ? Furiosa ? Hollywood says so which means there is no need to be worried about women who can’t find a man. It just means they will be able to lead the independent life they desire. Shouldn’t you be happy for these independent women who want to be independent. Why are you so misogynistic ?”

Woman: “Women need to be provided with welfare and subsidides.”
Me: “Bulls~~~. Woman are supposed to be strong, independent and empowered like Rey, Jyn Erso and Furiosa. They are not supposed to be pathetic bitches sucking government’s c~~~ for welfare. The existence of Rey, Furiosa, Jyn Erso and other “strong, independent and empowered” female characters is a great way to tell women in real life to woman up and be actually strong and help themselves instead of demanding help from you or other men.

I personally don’t view most Western women as “strong”. Loud, mean, bitter entitled feminist women are not strong.

Rather I personally view quiet, gentle, thoughtful women as strong, although I don’t think I’ve ever encountered one.

Modern Western women are to be considered toxic unless proven otherwise.

Exactly. You can’t be a strong woman if you have embraced the role of “victim”. It’s a complete contradiction. You either stand on your own or you obey what ideological zealots tell you to do.
