As of now it has been about four years since I left college. I speak briefly of this in my intro, here is the link if you want to read it: /forums/topic/a-cautionary-tale-about-oneitis/
I left school mainly because I wasn’t thinking straight and I was bombing most of the classes. I never really liked school for the most part except for literature and history classes. When I left my parents were naturally crushed. The reason I am thinking of going back is that my dad offered me a deal. If I went back and did well in the classes, he would buy a small business then once I gained enough experience he would hand the business over to me. I would eventually become my own boss which would be a godsend considering I might not ever have to deal with an HR bitch. I’ll likely only have to take a few classes to familiarize myself with things like accounting and marketing. The catch is that my dad also wants me to take more in person classes. He doesn’t think that I’m social enough even though I have friends already. I believe in quality over quantity when it comes to friends. Even though this would be a setback I might take the deal. May never get a better one in the future.

I hope is a stripper school.
To those following me, be careful, I just farted. Men those beans are killers.
Not dealing with an HR bitch would be great, but small business owners never stop working. That is the trade off.

Take the in person classes. You cant really socialize during the class, yes? And for the few moments around others, its just small talk. Which is great because that is training for dealing with your future customers.
Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

This is true. I have worked for a few small business owners. They never get a day off or take a vacation. Sure they may not be at the place of work but the business is always on their mind.
With what is being taught at Universities these days you would probably be better off at a trade school or a ‘tech’ trade school like @May 7 2020.
It is cheaper, you would be done quicker and would probably be more employable than you would be with a fresh new degree.
Guys that excel at the trades, traditional and tech can make BANK.
Plus, you can always do side gigs or start your own business.

I agree with the trade school but I am going only for a few classes or four at the most. I’m just trying to get my toe in the water and learn the basics of business. I know if I go for something like an associates degree that would lead to having to take bulls~~~ classes. Still have nightmares of my Gender Studies class but I don’t think my dad will like the idea of me going to a trade school. I need him on board so that I can get help with getting a business, I don’t have enough money to start up a business on my own yet. At this point I think I’m better off dancing to his tune so that I can get his financial support. He is a bit more on the conservative side so he isn’t just going to hand over money unless I show that I deserve it.

Let him know of your concerns regarding Gender Studies courses and the gynocracy ruling at liberal arts colleges.
Maybe there is an alternative you can both agree on that will get you trained up to operate your dad’s business, but not get you a rape or harassment charge for being within 1 mile of a college campus.

I told him this before and he and my brother think I’m just being paranoid. Even when the writings on the wall that higher education is becoming more liberalized and more anti men. I’d be going back to the community college that I was at years ago. Was it liberal? Yep. Did it have a cry closet like University of Utah? Not at that point. I just don’t see he and I coming to a compromise.
