They call it the baby boom for a reason. It was abnormally high. Go back before that, and birth rates were a lot lower than they are today.

Actually there are 3.9M births now. I just checked the data a few weeks ago, up through the end of 2016.

The US is so ridiculously overpopulated. Only about 4M people die, so sure I guess that doesn’t technically replace everyone, but it’s really only a drop of 100k people which is nothing.

If people want things to change, the birth rate has to drop to around 500K people a year. At that point the government and bankers won’t be able to f~~~ over people as much as they are. Few animals breed well in captivity, and in the modern world we are all captives.

I think any non-elite that has children today is incredibly selfish and uncaring. Their children won’t have a chance, it’s a cycle of poverty and misery for most. If you want to have children, have the power to actually protect them. Own some property and means of providing for yourself and them, independent of needing to rely on an employer and wage income—the lowest form of life is trading your body for resources out of necessity. All nobles through history have never had to do that, their lives had inherent worth, they had resources, property, assets. That is the least anyone owes to a child.

Absolutely. I long for a world of justice. Most of us are brought into this world out of a sense of obligation or tradition on the part of our parents without the consideration of how bleak and unjust the world is we’re being brought into.

We’re passed through institutions like cattle and given “guidance” through bureaucracy. Tagged, numbered, and sent on our way like lambs to the slaughter.

Societies that don’t take into consideration human nature or nature period deserve everything they get.

The state of things from a psychological perspective is utterly monstrous.
