    @DarthPeter

Your disorganized resistance article is fascinating!

Re: this thread, I thought I saw a video on youtube of MGTOW becoming “cult-like” I think it was a Sandman video.

A religion? A foundation or non-profit to help men get back on their feet, especially after a divorce or some other set back, that’s certainly feasible.

    Religion? No way.

I already have a religion why would I need another?

A MGTOW is a man who is not a woman's bitch!

    Exactly.

Even though MGTOW is not a religion, it gives me the same benefits I would get from a religion, minus the mindless to-dos and lack of freedom….and gossip and rules and tie-downs and useless (sorry) prayers I need to remember.

    I don’t need it.

I consider myself a MGTOW spiritualist. That’s how I have turned my MGTOW into a faith.

I don’t think that MGTOW in general should be a religion though. MGTOW should be a philosophy on top of whatever religion you have.

I was born a raving papist and I’ll die a raving papist – probably weapon-in-hand before the jihad, the way things are going.

A religion? A foundation or non-profit to help men get back on their feet, especially after a divorce or some other set back, that’s certainly feasible.

Maybe that’s what the OP had in mind – a foundation with all the legal benefits of a religion to help men.

    Something to think about…

Has anyone ever thought of making this into a religion. Start a foundation

MGTOW is about walking up from the religion of worshiping women with facts and realities.

    We cannot win with superstition.

There is no magic in MGTOW, just recognition of the truth and logical decision how to avoid dangers. The red pill is but the truth, it is no magical potion. Do not think in this modern world men have no longer have natural enemies, men are prey to women and government.

I think most MGTOW have had enough of the confines, manipulations and lies that many of us have felt were thrust upon us by traditional religions, and just the mention of the term “religion” brings negative connotations. Of course, I’m not speaking for all MGTOW because there are many religious brothers that embrace their faiths, but the key hear is that we share MGTOW ideology without infringing upon personal religious beliefs.

Calling MGTOW a religion is way off base. If YOU need a label YOU could try : belief system, or as keymaster wrote above a lifestyle choice. Personally, no labels for me.

MGTOW makes no sense as a religion. It makes no statements about the existence of God(s), what that God(s) character is, the purpose of life, the beginning of life or anything of that nature. If you were to try to make it a religion, you would be compelled to answer these question in one way or another, which would only serve to fragment MGTOW. As well, unlike an actual religion, it is compatible with different religious beliefs. A man cannot be both Christian and Muslim, but he can be both Christian and MGTOW for example. It can be argued that some of the prominent religious figures throughout history were MGTOW.

As far as making some sort of non-profit based on MGTOW principles…to what purpose? Is there something some issue money could help address, and if so, does that make us more like MRA then MGTOW?

    Ok. Then do it.

religion? A foundation or non-profit to help men get back on their feet, especially after a divorce or some other set back, that’s certainly feasible.[/quote]Maybe that’s what the OP had in mind – a foundation with all the legal benefits of a religion to help men. Not a religion in the sense that we would worship anything religion in terms of its tax benefits. There was a couple of forward-thinking men in the bunch. The whole idea is that we use that which is used against us to better ourselves. Since men get thrown under the bus why can’t we just take the bus and move it. Religion doesn’t necessarily mean anything other than organization. You guys are getting into the God thing I’m not talking about that. It’s a simple concept not designed to offend anyone. Perhaps religion wasn’t the best word to use but I like the idea of having a foundation for men where there are actual shelters for men who need temporary shelter or clothing. In 2007 my wife burned every Stitch of clothing I had the only thing I had left was an old pair of jeans I was wearing for about a week so I ended up having to stay in my garage with the sheriff’s pounding at the door every couple of days threatening to take me down. It sure would have been nice to have a place to go. Guys have been f***** over by religion I get it but there are tax benefits opportunities for financial benefits associated with a religion. Let’s just take for one second the Lutheran religion they have their own insurance they have the products that most Lutheran’s will buy that are recommended through the church they get a break. When I was a financial planner I could never compete with their products. What if we had a man insurance company insuring nothing but men what if we had any kind of business it would simply not make money at the expense of men but only for their profit. I’m not a republican I’m not a liberal I’m not a this or that I just like the idea of of having tax-exempt status or other benefits which we can provide ourselves. Didn’t mean to disturb so many of yous
