Has anyone ever thought of making this into a religion. Start a foundation

I’m on minute 3 of trying to figure out if this is the dumbest thing I have ever read.

When you find yourself in the majority, it's time to reflect.

While I understand the tax benefits in the United States of forming a religion, it goes against what ‘going your own way’ truly means. Going your own way means not following, doing what is right for you and living free… all opposites of what religion is.

Now, portions of what I’ve read about the MGTOW life involve some serious spirituality, some correlations to Buddhism and Zen and Others… but this is not a religion.

No longer can we walk away, we must run. Remove the motive power.

I’m guessing this is more in the vein of Pastafarianism

And while I get there is some amusement to be had in mocking religion by starting a religion, that really isn’t the point of MGTOW.

    Impossible.

MGTOW is a lifestyle choice entirely grounded in REALITY.

A “religion” is a belief system and not the same thing at all. You can embrace any “religion”, belief, god, Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny – if you find some comfort in that – while making a rational, sensible and logical lifestyle choice where the benefits are actually tangible.

I can believe in “god” — or not.
But doesn’t it make more sense to “worship” the sun??

The sun brings me warmth. Grows food. It makes me FEEL GOOD. It has all kinds of benefits that are essential to our way of life and existence. We can’t exist with out the sun, but we can exist without going to church on Sunday.

MGTOW in many ways is ESSENTIAL to your/my/our existence, maintaining your personal sovereignty and ensuring your survival. And the benefits are tangible and easily explained.

A “religion” (like art or music) is merely an enhancement to your existence.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

If a million men go their own way, then you will need a million religions.

    Religion of one? OK

Any more and it gets crowded with others thinking they can tell you what to do and how to do it, right down to joining the group in swallowing the KooL-aid!

Never! We are men of independent thought and lifestyle. Whether we choose to follow a religion or not ( I don’t) – it is up to each man to choose. MGTOW is and must remain a fertile ground for independent thought for all men – to cloak in the guise of a religious would defeat that objective.

I am here because nobody is imposing his belief system upon my will, not because i would be looking for a belief system. And this is really one of the few places or “ideologies” i know, where there is no agenda to make me think or behave in a special proper way.

The choices we make, not the chances we take, determine our destiny

The “religion” is marriage, Walt Disney, fashion, TV and gossip magazines and all that s~~~ pumped into everyone’s heads. But The Matrix wasn’t just *a movie*.

It was based on Alice in Wonderland – hence all the references to the white rabbit and the rabbit hole – where a little girl falls asleep and tumbles into a skewed & alternate reality.

NEO’s journey was the opposite. HE WOKE UP to learn that he had always been living in a skewed alternate reality and his journey is about discovering his own stream of consciousness.

Great MGTOW of science and math (i.e. Galileo) actually disproved the churches *belief* that “the Earth was the center of the Universe”. The church sentenced him to death and exile (which he narrowly escaped) and ordered him never to speak about it again.

If anything, MGTOW is the complete OPPOSITE of a “religion”.

Too many white knights, Disney, and even women behave like women are the center of the universe too. They all suffer from the “Center of the Universe” misconception.

    But MGTOW know better.

The Earth is not the center of the Universe.
It’s not even the center of the Solar System!
Women are not the center of the universe either.
So why doesn’t everyone – especially women – just stop acting like it.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

Going your own way means not following

MGTOW is a lifestyle choice entirely grounded in REALITY.

A “religion” is a belief system

We believe in REALITY. In scientific terms, it is called “experimental data”, in other parts of life, it is called “life experience”. This is our belief system.

Of course, it is an interesting idea to troll the s~~~ out of the system for tax benefits, BUT an “organization”:
-can be banned or dissolved by court order
-can have it’s own corruption and monetary scandals
-can be too big and too much organized, not much space for creativity
-can be bad for it’s members, because we don’t want to follow anything.

It is a fact, that in out current disorganized form, we are much stronger.
here are some ideas why: http://www.etresoi.ch/Denis/disorganisation.html
This text can be found as searching for “virtues of disorganized resistance”

Making it a religion would mean going against everything that MGTOW stands for. How can you go your own way while being forced to take on a herd mentality? I left religion for a reason.

There is only one thing that we all have in common: We all agree that society is gynocentric, and that taking part in gynocentric institutions like marriage will only result in us getting screwed, so we go our own way, refusing to support a system that treats us as disposables.

Other than that, our opinions are vastly different. That is why trying to herd MGTOWs is like trying to herd cats, and it needs to stay that way.
