My dear friend Gargamel, we both know that is not true. Mike Tyson was thrown in jail for a false rape charge, at the height of his popularity and fame. Kobe Bryant was pulled through it. Duke Lacrosse had to go through it. Hofstra students as well. This has been happening for decades, and NOTHING changes. NOTHING.

I definitely think things can change here in the US with the president we currently have. It’s hard to believe to imagine Trump speaking out about false rape acquisitions causing damage to our education system…which they clearly are. I can see him threatening to pull financial support for any college that expels a student without due process. He probably wouldn’t be able to do it, but just stating that would get a national conversation going.

I actually think Universities would love that, as it would remove a burden off their shoulders. They are being pushed to do something about rape, but if a national figure stated that it’s for the judicial system to resolve, not that the education system, then they could focus on actual education. I know that much of university staff WANT to push out the men, but upper management still deal with reality.

Expelling students at the college level makes little sense anyway. If they have committed a crime, then the judicial system can deal with it. If they are found guilty, then they can be expelled, or would have to leave anyway. If they are innocent, then you haven’t made a mistake.

Even in a rape case, how is expelling the student resolving any issues anyway? In the vast majority of cases, the incident didn’t happen on school property or a school event. Therefore, expelling the student isn’t going to prevent the accused from acting again, or make other students any safer. I’d argue that a student accused of rape is less likely to be a danger in the future actually.

This is puzzling to me.

Years ago, when I wanted to work in LEO, I followed a lot of door kicking guys blogs and actually spent time training with these dudes and getting to know them. Trust me, you do not want them to be pointing a gun at you; even if they’re unarmed, the amount of non lethal training they do off time to stay on top of everything and be the best in the industry will give you a very rude awakening if you think some cops only rely on their duty issued weapons. Some of these dudes have professional fighting records, are Black Belts under notable Gracie Instructors or other high level Black Belts, or have spent decades in Filipino Martial Arts. Even if you type in FMA in YouTube and all you come across is a bunch of guys doing ceremonial drills, or templates, that is what they are willing to post publicly to entertain, inform, and give a basic understanding of what they do. They will not post videos of their active duty guys doing force on force training, and adjusting the discipline to use a knife, tomahawk, karambit, or punch dagger on another human being to end his life, or to stop him from hurting one of their partners.

Now with the amount of lethal force training these guys have, they are not above the law. They may be a member of the Armed Citizens Network, or put as much time as they train their body to be educated in the law about use of force, and everything that will happen to them if they put a bullet in someone or gut them like a deer.

Some spend hundreds of hours a year investing in soft training skills, think hostage rescue, social engineering, body language interpretation, as well as having an entire department to investigate someone’s online life.

Now with the amount of knowledge in these guy’s heads, I cannot imagine that they are becoming aware of this situation. It is very difficult to believe if they show up to a guys house, and they can read the situation, put parts of the puzzle together from both the accused and the supposed victim, that they can tell if something is off. These are some very bright people, so this leads me to think that they are being complicit in arresting an innocent man and potentially setting him up for failure.

I get it, it’s a difficult situation they’re in. They have a job to do. But another argument I’ve heard is that they chose that job. They can also choose to leave. That is a problem as well, since no one is offering to hire these guys to do good work to match their pay and to put their skills to the use.

A lot of these men are very good people. They are polite and nice, if you decide to train with them, are willing to help and answer your questions, and were pretty straight edge throughout their entire life.

This sucks, but hey this is why you get men going nuts.
