    Datsun 260z, modified.

    OK, wow

Last webbers i had were on my mgb or triumph… i am old

Yeah, this was 1982-1984 that I owned that cat. 260 was only made in 1974, it was 240 in 73 and then 280 in 75. Not sure what yeah the webers and hood scoop were slapped in it, but it was a bad mofo. Shocked a few firebird, Camaro and Trans am owners, but learned my lesson about racing Vettes.

Lost my license for doing 138, and the judge told me “I hope you are a better sailor than you are a driver, because you are about to spend a lot more time on your ship!” LOL

In hindsight I am just glad I didn’t end up wrapped around a tree or phone pole.

YEAH man totally hear that – lately been doing low speed lane with the 328i, old man totally chilled out laughing at the aholes driving like jerks in passing lane – not sure how long this will last

I would get a C5, but then it’s too flashy and I need to fly under the radar. If I get something nice and flashy – my ex wife will get p~~~ed and might bring me back to family court to revise child support. That’s why I want a Goat – because it’s basically the same drivetrain, but it looks bland like a f~~~ing Cavalier

I would always drive another car (not the vette) to ex c~~~s house.

too much work. she would eventually find out one way or the other. my daughter would probably spill the beans inadvertently.
A Goat will do for now. I’ll get a C7 next – when my daughter turns 18 (in 10 years)

You don’t get it: I pay bare minimum child support (~300/mo), have joint custody and no alimony, and I really cherish that and want to keep it that way going forward. I have to act like I live in poverty and misery. God forbid she gets divorced the second time or hits financial trouble in the next ten years – she can drag me to court and recalculate how much money I should be paying her (if she knows I have it). I don’t want to be driving a Vette and paying $1000-$1600 in child support – it’s not worth it. I’d rather lay low and keep paying bare minimum. I’ve already drove my fair share of nice rides anyways – so it’s not like I have the itching urge anymore. I’ll save up the money for these 10 years and once my daughter turns 18 – I’d get a good ride then. The look on XW’s face will be priceless and well worth the wait.

I am not sure if you are talking about what I think you are, but I feel the same.

I know some guys enjoy working on cars, but I only did it in my early years because I was poor and I had to.
If something is going to take me more than an hour now I pay for it to be done. I have better things to do with my time than scraping and racking my knuckles trying to get bolts off, and get filthy, and find out I need a different tool than the 300 I already own etc. F~~~ing stripped down engine sitting in my living room, the place reeking of chemicals. lol

No way I spend an entire day under a car now in my 50’s. Just the back pain for the next week or so alone would make that a big FAIL.

    We’re in agreement.

Let me state, I have nothing against guys who work on cars. It’s a great skill to have. Mechanics are some of my favorite people as when my car breaks, they fix it. Good s~~~. That poor bastard is fixing his car because he has too. He probably drives a bucket because his wife is driving some expensive SUV.

If this was a recreational car, she would have none of it. My uncle had a 1968 convertible Mustang and was never allowed to work on it because it “cost too much” and interfered with ‘family time’. Meanwhile, they had plenty of money to remodel the bathroom……which he had to do.

Long story short, I will never do anything I hate doing because of a dumb t~~~. Yard work, stupid parties, etc.

I totally agree. No shade at all thrown at guys who actually ENJOY working on cars.

You are right, clearly the mangina has zero skills and is only doing it out of financial necessity. His wife probably won’t even walk her fat ass out there to ask if he wants a drink or a sandwich. Too busy on the phone telling her friends what a loser he is and he can’t even fix the car. lol

I hear what you are saying… It sucks for those of us who need to alter our lifestyles for fear of more bloody retribution.

Been there and done it bro.
