Rescue Shelters for pigs. SMH.Last summer, Leon Davis cared for dozens of squirming piglets after a rescue operation in Duncan, B.C.
One of the 57 animals the Nanaimo SPCA branch manager nursed back to health was Molly, a Vietnamese pot-bellied pig who finally found her forever home last month.
But just weeks after the adoption, Davis heard the news: Molly had been butchered and eaten by her new owner after problems were reported with the little pig.
“First reaction I’d say was shock. Heartbreak. You know, all the animals that come through our care or branches we get attached to,” Davis said.
“To hear that somebody did this to an animal that we worked so hard to make sure was healthy, and tried to get into a good home, is absolutely heartbreaking.

Vietnamese Pork Rolls, yummo.
" I feel threatened "
🥓BACON!!!
Mmmmmm…BAHAHAHAHAHA
Sorry, but I find that hilarious.
Also a lot cheaper to “adopt” a meal from the SPCA or any shelter than to buy it from a butcher. Think about that.
Then…
Just think about the homeless people, and people that cant afford a decent meal in Duncan B.C.
More money and effort to “save a pig” than to help peopleThere was a time in my life when I gave a fuck. Now you have to pay ME for it

Anonymous54I am confused by myself For thinking this is funny…

Anonymous54Hahahhahahaha.
Thats terrible.
Snicker….
Anonymous7I found it funny af.
Where do people think pork comes from. This is where I draw the line. One should not adopt an animal from a rescue shelter for the purpose of eating said animal. And yes. Some people have pigs as pets.
You want to eat pork. Fine. If you want to butcher your own pork. Fine. But go to a farmer and buy the pig there, where there is not question as to why the animal is being purchased.
This little stunt is going to upset a lot of people and cause the person problems.
This person was trolling in a bad way.

I absolutly agree.
So why does it make me laugh.Time for some selfreflection.

Good.

Gallows humor.
Time for some selfreflection.
That may be a good idea.

Anonymous54It sounds like a Monty Python skecth.
I can meditate while im giggling.
I know its wrong.
It sounds like a Monty Python skecth.
It probably is. Perhaps we should be happy the pet was not a puppy, or a kitty.
I can meditate while im giggling.
That is a trick I have yet to master.
I know its wrong.
The fact you know it is wrong means you are okay.

Anonymous54Mabey just my mood..
Or the word Ham..I would never do such a thing. No worries..
Do you in the anti-bacon crowd HONESTLY believe Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs are kept as pets BY the Vietnamese? Are you kidding? They are bred for FOOD. Pigs/hogs especially wild hog are mean, dirty, nasty f~~~s but they are delicious. FIRE UP THE GRILL!

Anonymous54It was in British Columbia.
This was a terribly wrong thing to do.
Pass the salt please….
“My bacon. My choice!”
If women ran the world = It would become the shithole you are seeing.
Give this men some rice to eat with his bacon, he f~~~ing earned it.
That was funny as f~~~.
To those following me, be careful, I just farted. Men those beans are killers.
Wasnt there a feral pig problem somewhere in the US?…
I stand with feet apart and let my balls hang free...Manginas dont have balls...See how they stand and sit at the whim of their masters...

Basic economics in play here, regardless of ethnicity or any other “factor” including sensitivities.
Bacon/pork is on average $5.00/lb in western Canada and that weight include the water.
So a 50lb porker = $250.00
$50.00 – $200.00 maximum to get the pot belly pig from this “shelter” or $200.00 – $1000.00 to get said porcine “pet” from a farmer or breeder. There was a time in my life when I gave a fuck. Now you have to pay ME for it
I have to agree, the whole thing is not kosher.
Not halal either……
