That is also one point of the distorted developments in our Western culture. In order to get laid, a man has to become a doctor (because of status and income)… Till we have more doctors than patients.

Just came back online. It was not just the West, The asian man is the most repressed = indian chinese japanese I would NOT want to be in their shoes.

The world changed – we did not. We have to look for our own answers. Peace guys and thank you for the support.

“The Police” and the song “Invisible Sun” from 1981.

An “anthem” about the (not only British) industrial depression in the early 1980’s.

Here’s a couple classics from the beginning of our industrial fall from grace.

Yes and that went on through the 1980’s.

And Tower, I guess you might remember something like “Beat the Civic” in which auto workers from Detroit were invited to use the sledgehammer to fold a Honda Civic as a pubic protest action. That was in 1979/1980 or so… I saw that in a German political magazine back then.

The downfall of the industries in America and Europe began when Japanese manufacturers threw their cheap slave labor on our markets. Now these factories moved to China. With one big exception: EVERYTHING moved to China.

But that would fill a whole separate forum discussion section…

Because I am the guy with “the WHY?” on his list… WHY did the German auto manufacturers get all of these immigrants? Back then, in the 60’s they were called “guest workers”?

WHY, because no German man is taken seriously if he works in a factory… And in order to get laid – in times of the ever so needy and demanding housewife, men had to strive for ever higher jobs in order to get laid…

In some fields we now have more engineers than construction workers. And more electrical engineers than electricians…

That is also one point of the distorted developments in our Western culture. In order to get laid, a man has to become a doctor (because of status and income)… Till we have more doctors than patients.

To be fair though in the 1970s British cars were s~~~ and badly made and everyone was on strike.

I was born in 1954, so I was 16 when the sixties ended. The guys were burning their draft cards and the girls were burning their bras. So, I remember lots of t~~~ in the 70’s. Most of the songs in this thread are songs I learned to play guitar on.
