Sure, but she wants their money! Sorry, lady, but if the movie gets GREAT reviews, I might watch it…on NETFLIX, in a couple years…if I’m really bored.

Well she’s right. She doesn’t have to. That has consequences, however, such as Star Wars becoming s~~~, and men not spending money on s~~~, but whatever. I no longer care what these commercial entities think. F~~~ em. Star Wars is dead to me anyway. The last film was a mess.

    this x 1000

I have given up on Star Wars now. It finished after Revenge of the Sith (an underrated film) and I just hope more and more old fans give up on it

I still haven’t watched the Feminist Awakens nor do I ever plan to.

I remember how Star Wars was considered a nerdy loser thing for a long time, and as is typical for women, as soon as it catered to them they pretended they’d always been fans and it’s popular now.

Star Wars WILL make a lot of money going forward, because women like it now, and blue pill men will always follow whatever women do. In reality women follow what men do, but on a time lag, and those men are gone so eventually Star Wars will lose its audience, but it won’t be for awhile. Whatever new thing masculine men get into now will eventually follow the same cycle. I’m not sure what it is, as I don’t really watch TV or anything now.

    yep

someone put a list up ages ago about how that process works…annoyed I can’t find it but it is the endless cycle of women spoiling all the things men enjoy and then men moving on and the same s~~~ happens over and over

The last movie was basically a remake of A New Hope. They spent 2 hours looking for something while trying to keep the Empire from getting the same thing.

Return of the Jedi was crap, Phantom Menace and Clone Wars didn’t need to be made because Revenge of the Sith explained the entire prequel. I agree with Jim, Sith was a decent movie. So 3 out of the 8 movies are worth watching.

The first two movies and Sith will always be great and I have no problem skipping the next pieces of garbage that will be spit out.

    What Phoenix said….

    and..

Except that a lot of the fanboys are too invested to drop out, even if they know the product is no longer what it used to be. They are not ready to give up on the dream, so to speak.

So say you lose a good half of your core fans, worst case scenario. Economically, it’s better to expand your demographic and pull in a wider audience then to worry about maintaining your core. It happens all the type, just about everywhere for any fan based product. Betray the core audience that put you on the map in order to appeal to a bigger audience.

    Ok. Then do it.

First 40 minutes of Jedi are the best moments of the whole series…. then it gets bogged down with teddy bears…..

THANK YOU!!! That movie sucked terribly. I liked The Phantom Menace, Revenge of the Sith, and The Empire Strikes Back. I only like the movies where the bad guys win. So when Kylo Ren wins in a new movie, I’ll like that one. The rest of these movies sucked. I didn’t like most of the characters in The Force Awakens, for instance, why would you abandon your team and stop being a storm trooper??

I confess I did watch The Feminist Awakens, but I waited until my local library got the DVD. It was nothing but a rehash of what was the first one (now called episode 4), except a Mary Sue is doing all the leading man stuff, and her male sidekick is little more than a tag along.

I’ll watch this new one — when the library acquires it. No more money for Disney from me.

By the way, the talking teddy bears were a waste of valuable screen time. A bunch of stone age dwarfs taking on a modern mechanized army (dumbass walking armored chickens notwithstanding)? Give me a break.

I love the first three, then I watched the next two and they sucked. Never watched another one.

What the CEO is banking on is the Star Trek factor. The original Star Trek was for guys—every and I mean EVERY Star Trek that came afterwards was targeted to women—not men and look how commercially successful they were. So from a business standpoint she can write us off. Fine with me.

Companies who re-orient their products and services toward young women for ideological reasons rather than at the demographics that they have traditionally served will quickly go bankrupt.

How long do these people think they can go on making $150M blockbuster films for green haired social justice warriors?

I saw some clips of the Force Awakens and it’s like all other movies I’ve watched with female warrior roles. I just can’t take it seriously. There’s nothing more stupid and detached from reality than watching a 120 pound, scrawny little woman, grinning her teeth and trying to act tough, bitch you’re not.

And I get that it’s suppose to be fantasy and fiction so anything goes, but that’s just an excuse. There’s a reason they cast Hugh Jackman as the Wolverine and not some 5’4″ 120 pound midget, I apply the same rule on female roles as well.

At the end of the day, I don’t care if you’re man or woman, just don’t cast a skinny teenager looking doll as a warrior or something. I don’t buy it.

    NFG from me.

MSM/Entertainment/Business is free to slit their own throats by continuing to ignore people like me, it’s not my issue.
This yet yet another franchise that I will not invest time, effort, or money into.

There was a time in my life when I gave a fuck. Now you have to pay ME for it

It’s funny you mention Wolverine, his lack of statute is supposed to be a major part of his character. He’s something like 5’4 but 200 lbs, so basically a ball of muscle, with healing powers and feral aggression. Hence the name Wolverine, which is a smaller animal, rather than something like “Lion”.

But there is a pretty big difference between that and a 5’4 120 lb woman. But that is common in Hollywood and games.

There is a cognitive dissonance where we have all these domestic violence laws and rules that you can’t hit women because they are so weak (they are), but then turn around and claim a woman is strong and can defeat men, either Ronda Rousey in MMA or movie comic book characters or even the idea of female soldiers and law enforcement being effective. It’s just whatever is convenient.

I was a boxer when I was younger, we’d always separate the women off because they really couldn’t do anything. Even something as simple as mitt training or sparring, if a man goes full blast it just completely destroys a woman no matter what. They have very child-like strength. Even things such as luggage, doors, or jars give them immense difficulty, because they are just genuinely that weak.

Even when I’m older and have a few injuries that reduce my strength, the gap is just absurd. A 20 year old woman at the height of her physical ability is still maybe half of my strength while old and injured. At best.

My karate teacher often told my class, “do not get in the way of a boxer’s punch.”

It was understood he meant a male boxer.

I was dragged to see the feminist awakens and the film sucked as it is only just a rehash of the original except this time Disney is simply trying to use starwars as much as a cashcow as is possible.

The whole film was made in order to appeal to the mainstream and is just an example of girls wanting in on the boys activity’s or games. Since starwars originally was a nerd saga that appealed to the nerd crowd and even if you were not a big nerd most men and boys could all still enjoy it. But now in the late 10’s they see making starwars films to appeal to the girls now to which is why they have the girl power bulls~~~ in the films and in the other films that were geared toward men.

So now the next thing probably is gonna be magic the gathering is gonna try to appeal to women then the next thing the boys like will and the next thing etc. As of right now it is video games as the bulls~~~ is being pushed in modern games tomorrow it will be retro games since the c~~~s who did not grow up on the old systems but had them in their house will suddenly have fond memories of the old time games the boys played.

Just an east coast asshole who likes to curse, If you get offended by words like fuck, cunt, shit, piss, bitch or any racial slurs then you just scroll down.
