The good man is the ‘loser’. The man who stands for truth and justice is persecuted in this world of immoral, wicked individuals.

I have experienced this myself. I am a loser in the cutthroat world of business and ‘careers’. I am not great at business because it is not in my nature to extract the most I can from others. Or to push a product or service which is not in a person’s interest. My nature is to do good unto others, even if this is at a cost to myself. I could not last in the corporate environment where success is achieved by Machiavellian means. On the surface I looked ‘weak’ because I ‘couldn’t stand up for myself’.

Recently I have receive a great lesson on these forums:”people only consider someone good if it proved that it could be bad, otherwise it has no choice and thus is only weak.”

There is great wisdom in these words, and I am not saying that it is your case. But many people are “good” for fear of repercussions, of displeasure of the other, or simply self-interest.

I am not a believer in karma, I consider it a reality. But as a Zen teacher once said:”the hard part is to give up your ideas, and especially the ideas of good; those are the worst to let go.”

I’ve seen too many dirtbags walk away from the train wrecks they’ve caused.

…teaching them nothing. So eventually they will cause a train wreck they won’t be walking out of. Which is why it’s natural selection, not karma. Another reason it’s not karma is it often burns innocent bystanders, whether they be individuals, trains, economies, or societies.

If it does work, it’s too slow.

Because natural selection operates on a generational rate.

Any other “believers’? Any experiences/stories you would like to share?

    Yes.

I have studied this and reincarnation for 40 years, and have no doubt whatsoever that it is so.

Not a big believer. I’ve seen too many dirtbags walk away from the train wrecks they’ve caused. If it does work, it’s too slow.

A single lifetime is nothing. From ‘Retribution,’ by Friedrich Von Logau: “Though the mills of God grind slowly, yet they grind exceeding small …”.

You do come back. Suicide or killing yourself just makes it worse.

I’m not going to to talk about what you believe about Karma. In the words of the great Carnage, it doesn’t matter. Worrying about Karma defeats the purpose.

    People make Karma Happen.

Worrying about Karma defeats the purpose.

    YES!

That is the great lesson. If God looks into your heart, what is it worth that one doesn’t do harm for fear of punishment?

    Can we fool God?

When I was young there was a book saying that praying for yourself is worthless, but praying for others gets you rewards. So, I started praying for others whenever I wanted things for myself.
It took years to recognize the mistake. The mistake is form over content. It is to think you paint a card box white, attach a rope, and you get a refrigerator.

It is not a problem if we do that, it is not even a problem if we do the first thing. It is just stages of understanding…

Respecting the flow of the world, that is true wisdom. Trying to control it or going against it, that is pain.

We intelectualize to much. The mind is limited.
There is this story of the young monk that learned “everything is God”. So he was ecstatic and running around singing on the middle of the road. Then an elephant approaches and the handler screams “get out of the road”, but the monk did nothing as God would not harm him. Fortunately before being trampled, the elephant throws the monk to the side with his trunk, leaving him bruised and confused. So, he goes to his master to complain, how could God do something like that to him. The master asks him “wasn’t a man there screaming to get out of the way?” The monk said yes. “And didn’t you think that man was God warning you?”

Ill get back to you on the Karma thing. I just did someone a $700 favor, a perfect stranger! So we’ll see if that comes back to me.

About 3 months ago, I walked out to my pick-up truck to discover someone had hit it while parked. The driver door wouldnt even open because the metal was so twisted! $5000 worth of damage easy. I cant recall why the universe thought I deserved that one. A month later the Truck’s tranny went out totally. The truck had low miles and I always took care of it, the techs gave me some story about the trans-oil line leaking…. truck was a total loss, sold it to a dealer for nothing… Another example of the universe fucxking me in the last few months.

In truth, Ive been getting anal from God for about a year with no reach around. LOL Sorry for the lousy metaphor.

But I KEEP MY CHIN UP! I do not go around with a bad attitude and complain. I have MUCH to be grateful for. I will get whats coming to me.

Let me reiterate. Karma is a wish for s~~~heads to get their just rewards. It’s a pipedream, but most of them believe it too. Outmanuver them, do good for your own reasons and reap the whirlwind.

Who cares what anybody else gets? Live.

I failed to realize in my youth that I was the prize. I was going to work. I was going to earn. Little did I realize that due to feminism, that no longer meant I had to share. Road soon, Desert after.
