I shouldn’t let articles like this bother me, but I’m seeing more and more of them.

The demise of many manufacturing jobs has left some men with the choice of working for pay they feel is substandard, in menial service jobs, or not working at all.

Even if men are underemployed or employed at a menial job, if they make, say $30k a year, they’re still pay a positive amount into the system. Compare this to a single mother on welfare pumping out babies, or even women in general who consume a lot more in the way of healthcare costs than men, who generally prefer to avoid the doctor like the plague.

As a whole, men are net payers into the tax system, women leech off the system. The labor participation rate of men is still much greater than women, not counting the fact that men still make more money (due to more hours and more stressful/technical jobs) and pay more taxes than women.

Sorry, I know I shouldn’t let it bother me, but it irritates me that the MSM continuously shame one group of people to attempt to get them to pay more for another group of people’s entitlement benefits. Whatever happened to this equality mentioned so many times in other articles? Once the labor participation rate of women exceeds men, and women become net payers into the system, then you can criticize men.

Maybe some of these guys inherited money or earned enough money to live off the grid for a long time. Maybe some guys are drifters who get by with panhandling.

I usually see homeless guys in their 50s. I suppose they get tired of working around that age, or maybe they aren’t healthy enough to keep up with the younger men—when it comes to hard labor. Who knows.

I guess I’ve been too lazy to change finance sites, but have been using yahoo finance since the early 2000s. The financial section of yahoo is loaded with s~~~ articles like these. Most of the finance related sites nowadays are pretty garbagey.

Just use market~~~ch or dow jones like everyone else. I also used to use finviz, and there are a few others. Stockcharts.com was pretty good on charts iirc. Google’s finance is also better.

I used to use yahoo too, just because they used to be kind of convenient, but I haven’t been actively trading for awhile and their autoplay videos are a pain. They always find ways to get around ways to stop them from playing, it’s really irritating.

Yahoo finance has been unuseable for at least 5+ years now.

I’m just kind of a creature of habit. I got super used to yahoo finance’s charts, performance metrics pages, etc. I use market~~~ch sometimes. But yeah, I will make the switch.
