How about we ban both guns AND alcohol, because if I don’t have the right to choose how I can defend myself (self-defense is a human right), then why should other people be allowed to put me at risk by drinking alcohol when getting drunk is NOT a fundamental human right?

All my life I've had doubts about who I am, where I belonged. Now I'm like the arrow that springs from the bow. No hesitation, no doubts. The path is clear. And what are you? Alive. Everything else is negotiable. Women have rights; men have responsibilities; MGTOW have freedom. Marriage is for chumps. “We don’t want to take your guns, we just want to make it more difficult for you to obtain one”

Yeah.. How’s that working in LA, NY, Detroit, and Chicago…?

Here is what I would like these “students” to answer:

If people who legally purchased rifles refused to give them up, how many of these people are the students willing to have police or the government murder in order to accomplish their goal of “FEELING safe”? If a million people resisted, would they be willing to see one million people killed by police?

These chicken-s~~~, cowardly, brain-washed, participation-trophy generation c~~~s probably have NO problem seeing someone else do THEIR dirty work of murdering for them.

And as far as that one Florida student, the lawmaker called it right: “lesbian skinhead”.

The U.S.A. should go to a minimum voting age of 25.

Conservatives need to start a petition for students against firearm equality (S.A.F.E.) and document names, address, and social security number. Then the patriots of our nation can blacklist these asshats from holding any meaningful employment.

Looks like these thoughts are everywhere around the Globe.
I would like to set up a minimum voting age of 30. At least for the presidential elections.

Why does anyone take these rugrats seriously?! They cant vote!! Or they dont contribute!! Any rational American would not be behind this stupidity.

Stop allowing non contributors to vote. I dont think raising the vote age is a solution, but if thats the case raise the age for selective service also. Dying for rights you dont fully have is BS. Want to take away my rights to vote in elections? Better not tax me or I will revolt. Im not paying taxes when I have no say in how they are used. No taxation without representation. I think the USA faught a war over that. Or did some folks forget that?

The problem is parents are lousy and society also encourages these young adults to remain childish. The leftist school system makes panty wastes out of kids, it does not challenge them or allow them to develop properly as young adults. Couple that with lousy parents that raise their kids with the leftist controled tv and cable station, it is no surprise they are this way.

Solution to this little “protest”? Denounce it for what it is. Childish antiamerican fascist tempertantrums. People need to learn and accept resposibility for their being and freedom. Just because they exist, it creates no onligation in any individual or organisation.

Thats f~~~ing stupid. This is elitism on the basis age. No taxation without repersentation! How is that issue going to be addressed? Raise the legal age of employment??? What a hurt on the economy that will be. Tax folks without representation? Get f~~~ed, thats unAmerican by the original definition. Better address selective service as well. I will not serve in a military of a country where I may die in stupid conflict for rights I would not fully have any more due to elitist old farts.

Comparing gun ownership to alcohol consumption brings up the question…why are you ok with alcohol but not guns? Neither is necessary and can be deadly if used improperly. The clear reason is that you understand alcohol but you do not understand guns.

As far as they kids go, it bothers me that the left and media are using them. They are naïve kids who don’t know s~~~ yet. Nothing wrong with being naïve, I blame the people are who using theming. The reality is that this latest shooting was a failure of the corrupt government. The solution cannot be more reliance on government.

The U.S.A. should go to a minimum voting age of 25.

The Constitution was originally established with rather different rules on voting than we currently have.

    – You had to own property. This essentially meant that you had a stake in the government, a contributor, not just a consumer. It also meant that you had to have a decent amount of experience and understand of things, since you own property. You’re not a complete idiot.
    – It stands to reason that if you owned property, you had to have proof of that ownership. So no illegal aliens could possible vote.
    – Only men could vote.
    – Senate positions were not a popular vote. A senator was designated by the state government and was there to represent the state, not the voters directly. The House or Reps was for the people.

So I’d say, the originators knew what they were doing is basically got it right. I don’t think you can go back to that completely, but you cam make changes to voting to make it more effective and meaningful.

    – Require voters to be income tax payers. Or perhaps, disallow anyone on welfare (not Vet or retirement benefits) from voting. The idea is to make sure voters are contributors. Perhaps require voters to pass a civics test of some sort.
    – Return the Senate back to the states to appoint.
    – Seriously look at having elections decided by an electoral college rather than straight popular vote. A member of the college would cast his vote for the geographic area he represents. In this way a rural area would have as much or more say/control as the highly populated cities do. Cities should rely on the mayors and city councils to pass the laws they want, not force their morals on rural populations through the government.

    Ok. Then do it.

My 8-yr old daughter had birthday money and she bought some candy and other stuff with it. She paid sales tax.

Is she being taxed without representation? Or is she represented by proxy through me, because she is immature?

I read that only about 3,000 students across the US were planning on protesting. It’s cold as hell here in Ohio still, looks to be the same around most of the country. I bet the number doesn’t break 1,500.

For reference, my High School graduation class had somewhere between 400-500 students, and that is just a central Ohio suburb

If this is stupid then why some 18 y/o man from Enugu can’t be the President of the United States?

Also I believe the “taxation without representation” was not an individual issue, but a community issue.

Talking about income tax guys. You want to tax people that work and not allow them to vote for their representation and voice how their taxes are used? That does not sound very right. A minor is still represented by proxy of parents. Once 18 that is no longer the case. Therefore an issue is created by this notion of raising the allowed voting age.

And an 18 year old cannot run for president. There are restrictions on who is elidgable to run. Who can run and who can vote are at this time two different things. I am not talking about who can run for presidency. There are regulations on who can run, and who can vote. They are different. Presidential canidates must be natural US citizens. I am not sure what point you are trying to get me to see Suggestious. I had a hard time understanding your response. So my response was done with the best I could conclude.

Community issue or individual or not historically, I will NOT pay taxes if I can not vote for representatives. When one is no longer 18 they are a legal adult and are no longer represented by proxy.

Taking away voting rights because of whatever reasoning you want to apply is a slippery slope. Thats how you create a slave class. Want to raise voting age to 25, 30 whatever, it is, still collecting income taxes from those who can no longer vote? If the answer is yes, a slave class has been created.

Normally, restrictions come out of common sense. We can never see an 18-year-old plane captain but we can easily see the infantilized youth of this age making a decision of the state’s future.

Ok I understand that and partially agree, but to take away a group of peoples right to vote because of a certain amount of idiots is wrong. Not everyone between 30 and 18 is a retard. There are many who are not. The media likes to broadcast the idiots. I also imagine if this groups loses its right to vote it would never see it again even when such restriction may no longer be a neccissary route. I see an awful lot of adults instilling this infantile behaviour and beliefs in young adults, however.

Society and the folks that caused and are causing this infantile behaviour need to be held accountable, as well as those acting infantile. But taking away rights of adult citizens because of a certain element in this sge range is wrong. The politicians that liten to these fools need to be removed and hold some of the blame. They are weaklings the bow to whatever vote base they sense regaurdless of right or wrong and are causing this weak behaiour to influence the state. If there were no majority of politicians that listened to these fools their behaviour would be corrected.

It really should be 21, just like the drinking age. I had first said 25 years old, but people like to haggle on everything. Always shoot high. 😁

If you are in the military, police academy, or firefighter (civic duty) the age restriction should be waived because you have proved to be mentally capable of making important decisions.

That would apply to liquor and firearm sales as well.

I have a better deal for these protestor kids. How about they get their bratty asses off the street, back in the classroom and learn something for a change?! Ever since the shooting, kids everywhere are ditching school to make political points that the rest of us don’t care.

GO TO SCHOOL YOU SPOILED BRATS!

No, I don’t offer to take away all the rights to vote. But citizens should gain the rights step by step with ages. From some local elections to the presidential ones at 30. And it’s not only about infantilism of the modern youth. It’s also about the lack of living experience.
