I have a habit of not reading the various forum rules on all sites I frequent for two reasons:

1st: I use common sense, if I wouldn’t say that in RL I won’t write it on the Internet.
2nd: Respect the persons on the other side because they are human.

I joined this forum because this is a place for men; and from my experience men require and give respect to their fellow man. Men don’t require coddling and nice words but they do require respect from their fellow men.

If any members of this forum cannot show basic respect to their fellow men that frequent this site then they are not men, just women with a penis.

Men are generally treated like we start out with 0 points. Or less. And much of what we are expected to do is about just staying at 0. We’re too used to it.

It’s like not long ago when I was standing at a playground eating my lunch watching some kids play basketball. A teacher walks up to me and says “can I help you?” like I am some kind of threat just being there. That’s not acceptable to me.

Im just a man watching kids play basketball, and automatically I’m a predator, pervert, creep or pedophile … but this bitch doesn’t even know I have better teaching credentials than she does. I coached kids younger than that myself – at private school. GIRLS too. I had my own class of GIRLS. Parents dropped their kids off to be in my care for 2 hours.

Freedom allows struggle and strife along with a whole separate majority of good and better things. It is better to have struggle and strife and to be free than to have “security” with no freedom……and no “truth”.

Well if you ever replied to any of my threads or shared/discussed my thoughts on the message boards, I am a better man for it.

Agreed or disagreed, I have learned to share my mind with how I truly feel. And I need men wiser and more learned than myself to correct or support my beliefs.

Good call, Greek Dragoon and that is very similar to how I handle it.

Just about a few minutes ago I learned who this thread is all about even without reading who it is in this thread but in the actual other thread itself.

Well, I said it before and I’ll say it again: (Mutual) respect is our strongest currency against in fights within this forum, which actually needless to say are everything but constructive for the most part and so far, knocking on wood, at least as far as I can tell, having been in here for more than 18 months I have never experienced an incident like this and was quite shocked…

Having said that, it still wouldn’t drive me off the forum, since as long as it wouldn’t happen too frequently, it can actually also teach a man to grow a thicker skin, to an extend at least.

And so far having experienced mostly respect from virtually all of you guys, here is my way of contributing my personal respect for “Mr. X-wisdom” by not mentioning his sign up name and to be honest I am genuinely sorry to see him leaving nothing less than that (lifting my hat).
