Anonymous6Greetings Gentlemen. I would like to take a moment and explain how several elements from the book 1984 by George Orwell are coming true on a world stage. For those of you who haven’t read this classic I can’t recommend it enough. From my understanding it was based on the government and society of North Korea, but I may be wrong about that. Either way modern day North Korea is almost a carbon copy of what is described in the book 1984.
So let me explain myself. First, in the book the country in which the protagonist is living, Oceana or Air Strip One, is in a constant state of war. There are enemies without and within. They had literal wars going with outside entities but they also had ideological wars as well. The ideological wars is what I’d like to point out. The left in our day and age constantly points out the “war on women,” racism, classism, sexism, and a whole host of other things that need to be combated and burned out root and branch. All who are labeled as ideological enemies in the book are sent to torture sessions or flatly executed. Today one loses their livelihood and is labeled a bigot, racist, homophobe, islamophobe, etc.
Newspeak was the official language that the ruling elite required people to use in the book. This has a direct parallel to the PC movement. In the book the quote “War is peace” and others were used to convince the population that a constant state of armed conflict and internal pure of dissidents was peaceful and needed.
Individualism and independent thought where not only discouraged by thwarted with via the Thought Police. An actual law enforcement agency in the book, these officers of the law rounded up anyone who did not comply with the official propaganda published by official sources. By the way the Thought Police worked for the “Ministry of Love.” Not complying with the official PC message gets a similar result today in the US. You can get fired from your job, kicked out of college, and I have even heard of people receiving death threats from groups like the BLM for not toting the liberal narrative.
In addition to the “Ministry of Love” there was a “Ministry of Truth.” This was the organization responsible for publishing information on all media platforms. A direct parallel can be made between the “ministry of Truth” and the MSM and also feminism. The name itself shows the opposite nature of the organizations intended purpose, just like feminism and the MSM.
The other two main organizations are the “Ministry of Plenty” which rationed goods and services and the “Ministry of Love” which enforced thought crimes and any other law as mentioned above.
So much more could be said folks. This was just a short synopsis from me. Please tell me what you think, and please read the book if you haven’t already.
1984 was a novel about a population completely under control of a tyrannical government through fear. Most of the American people are to cynical and upset for such a system to fully work for this current generation.
The nationalists are on their last nerve with the current system, though President Trump’s elections has caused a lot of entertainment for the nationalists. The SJWs are to stupid to exist in such a fear based system to work on them. The foreigners are mostly here to live off the American taxpayers.
Though, paraphrase part of a line from the novel 1984.
What I fear is that it seems the rest of the world believes to be prosperous they must press the boot of the world on the collective face of America.
We see this with all the trade deals and organizations solely created to harm and steal from the American people. The Paris Accords that President Trump removed America from are an example. Under the excuse of climate change, with the Paris Accords do nothing about, the Paris Accords would rob the American people of trillions of dollars which would go into the pockets for foreigners, while also destroyed what is left of the job market in the U.S.
In response, I fear the American people will come to believe the only way to prosperity is to press the boot of America on the collective face of the rest of the world.
Right now, the nationalists of America have voted in someone, President Trump, whom the nationalists hope will get the U.S. out of the mess of foreign entanglements. It is only the globalists and their allies in government and the press whom want the American to be involved in foreign wars. The American people do not. That may someday change.
I saw a news article today about a new way to dispose of dead bodies. Instead of cremation or burial, someone has come up with a chemical that will dissolve everything but the bones. It made me think of the movie Soylent Green. Maybe my niece can use that when I die, and use my skeleton as a haloween decoration. Yes, George Orwell got everything right except the decade and century when it would happen. Everytime I look at the network settings on my computer and I see FBI Surveillance listed I remember that big brother is watching. The Ministry of…fill in the blank…will come for each of us until there is no one left to stop them. That’s what happened in Nazi Germany, and that’s what will happen to us eventually. Let them come. I’m ready to give up on this twisted society we have allowed to develop. If my uncle who died at the battle of Aachen could see the world he helped to save today, I wonder what he would think?
"Don't follow in my footsteps...I stepped in something."

Anonymous1When I first read “1984” I knew I was destined to end up in Room 101 some day. The Junior Anti-Sex League, reminds of the Feminists of today. Orwell, understood the system that was coming.
Is this not straight out of Orwell’s Nightmare?

i like the movie with william hurt in it,
made in 1984..great actor !song came out that year as well.
I was just reading 1984 and in the first chapter, dude comes home to his apartment and book mentions “telescreen” , a picture framed TV set hanging on his wall with camera/mic. Dude goes into hall to avoid its camera/mic
This book written in 1948 and author perfectly describes 21st century flat screen TV I have hanging on my wall in 2017??
Uncanny!!!!
And we work our fingers to the bone to afford the tools of our destruction.
#icethemout; Remember Thomas Ball. He died for your children.

Anonymous8Good thread.
I have a couple of points to add.
Firstly, you forgot to mention Groupthink. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groupthink
Secondly, Orwell was influenced by the Spanish civil war.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nineteen_Eighty-Four#Influences
In his 1946 essay “Why I Write,” Orwell explains that the serious works he wrote since the Spanish Civil War (1936–39) were “written, directly or indirectly, against totalitarianism and for democratic socialism.”[3][59] Nineteen Eighty-Four is a cautionary tale about revolution betrayed by totalitarian defenders previously proposed in Homage to Catalonia (1938) and Animal Farm (1945), while Coming Up for Air (1939) celebrates the personal and political freedoms lost in Nineteen Eighty-Four (1949).
During World War II (1939–1945) Orwell believed that British democracy as it existed before 1939 would not survive the war, the question being “Would it end via Fascist coup d’état from above or via Socialist revolution from below”?
Big Brother is based on the soviet state, although National Socialism was also a prevalent influence, as IngSoc is the name used in the novel. Which is short for English Socialism, which sounds an awful lot like National socialism (Nazi).
Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World is equally relevant in my opinion, but I won’t get into that here.
“But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Brother.”
This book written in 1948 and author perfectly describes 21st century flat screen TV I have hanging on my wall in 2017??
Uncanny!!!!Ironic. Isn’t it?
I can see you through your video cam.
Not perfectly, exactly.
Telescreens cannot be turned off. Not the common folks screens. They also were placed in every house by the govt. Everyone knew they were surveillance devices.
Our tvs can be turned off. We can have a house without them if we want. We can pick whatever brands we want, and learn the safer brands that do not snoop without us knowing about it. Not everyone knows that their tvs can snoop on them and that most can be disabled. Or thrown out.
Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.
For those of you who haven’t read this classic I can’t recommend it enough.
Good on ya Travis. I first read it when I was about 19 and it remains one of my favourite books to date. George Orwell is my personal guru. Hence his quote in my signature. It’s just one of the many brainy things he said – in fact, there’s a website where you can order bed duvets that have his quotes printed on them. I’d love to get one, though they’re a bit expensive.
And so long as we’re talking about this (long post ahead), have you ever seen Hitchc~~~, with Anthony Hopkins? It could’ve been a great movie, but ended up giving Hitchc~~~’s wife, played by Helen Mirren, waaaayyy too much credit. It portrayed her as somebody who not only dictated every aspect of his life, but even showed up to the set of Psycho one day when he was too sick to attend, and took over directing duties for the afternoon.
For f~~~’s sake, leave Hitchc~~~ alone. As a director he was matchless – don’t insult him by portraying him as this henpecked pansy who couldn’t get anything done without his “brilliant” wife. There is no way in HELL Hitchc~~~ would’ve ever let his wife take over his job on-set.
And several months ago, the papers even had the nerve to print a story claiming Einstein’s wife was the one who came up with E=MC².
Do you know what this is? It’s rewriting history to better suit the feminist campaign. Taking these great, smart, talented men who broke down boundaries and got things done, and claiming their wives were the ones who did all the work, in order to imply that said men couldn’t have accomplished anything without them. F~~~ OFF, will you? Penis envy at its absolute pettiest – unable to boast any achievements of their own, they resort to making up stories that portray women as the real geniuses, totally shaming our trailblazers in the process. They just can’t stand to see that it was men who created the society we have now. Yet we’re the ones who are relentlessly accused of having egos.
And that’s precisely what Winston Smith does in 1984. His job is to go through history and extract anything that discredits the party. Women today are proving to be no better than the tyrants for whom Winston works. There’s nothing they won’t do to make themselves look taller.
Yet that stupid book The Handmaid’s Tale, which I believe is now a series on Netflix, is getting so much publicity. And surprise surprise, it’s essentially the feminist version of 1984, portraying a totalitarian future where women are treated as slaves. Not only are idiots saying that it’s shockingly realistic, they’re even saying it’s better than Orwell’s masterpiece.
In a way, I suppose women are slaves – slaves to following the herd. They can never think for themselves. Thanks for letting me vent.

Great post, and you almost got it all figured out… What it IS is a rewriting of history to better suit the Leftist Globalist campaign.
And women are being empowered because if you can cuck the men into subservience of the women and then give the women the lead you can more easily get a society to go in any direction you care to point them in…
Back the women at every turn because they are more easily led and empower shaming and groupthink where it serves your needs and everything will go just as planned… Just as we see unfolding around us every day in every way.

The assault on actual history is full blast. That’s why the Confederate monuments are under scrutiny. They don’t serve the PC agenda.

Definitely, but I think that is only half the story. The Occupy Movement got their angst redirected away from the Elite to the “Racist Fascist Right”.
A possible Class War that the Elites certainly would like to avoid has been expertly replaced with a Race War of sorts. Don’t be fooled, all this s~~~ is not happening by accident. Remember, the Occupy people were not going after their wealthy neighbors, they were going after the top 1%ers, maybe even the top .001%ers … Something nearly everyone could have gotten behind…
And great OP as well, one of my all time favorite books.
Hitchc~~~ wife directing Psycho????? ROFLMAO
Right? I nearly fell off my chair watching that scene. If you’re going to make a movie about Hitchc~~~, then make one. But if you’re going to lace it with that kind of horses~~~, you might as well not bother. It really did end up being her movie. I felt bad for Hopkins, who was a good choice for that role in every other way.

Thanks. Yeah you’re probably right…one can’t solely blame the feminist crusade for it – the entire liberal community has had a hand.

I actually learned about the rewrite of history when I learned about postmodernism. Postmodernism ranks up there with feminism as one of the most destructive and poisonious ideologies out there. In fact feminism and postmodernism feed off of each other. And postmodernism is NECESSARY for the rewrite of history and for the leftist narrative.
Don’t mean to hijack this thread but I have been reading “The Creature from Jekyl Island”.
I had thought it was about the Federal Reserve but it is much more. It is way scarier than 1984 and worse, it is true!!! Even typing the s~~~ in the book feels weird. Basically marxist socialist, including, George Bernard Shaw and John Maynard Keynes determined the best way to a one world government would be to slowly change our culture. They are trying to bring the USA down and have us bankroll the poor countries. While the top .1% get rich(er). It is sickening but it is happening and has been happening for a long long time (50 + years). The USA is going down. A one world government is likely. For our own welfare, of course.
I cannot recommend this book enough.
"Women are directly adapted to act as the nurses and educators of our early childhood, for the simple reason that they themselves are childish, foolish, and short-sighted—in a word, are big children all their lives, something intermediate between the child and the man, who is a man in the strict sense of the word. Consider how a young girl will toy day after day with a child, dance with it and sing to it; and then consider what a man, with the very best intentions in the world, could do in her place.” Quote from Arthur Shopenhauer, 17th century philosopher
Yes, Orwell got some inspiration for 1984 after seeing the Stalinists, ostensibly on the same side as the other Republicans, wiping out POUM and Andreu Nin. Homage to Catalonia, which is his greatest book IMO, describes his disillusion with the left after this.
It has been said by some intellectuals that the future vision described in 1984 is so horrific that it stopped all leaders from putting such an abomination into practice.
Of course the memo didn’t reach the far east with Cambodia and N Korea turning art into real life.
