A local college now has started a girls that code program. BS.

I don’t mind that girls code, learn about computers, etc. Heck that’s great. We need more nerds. I am angry because there is no coresponding course for boys.

This is discrimination. End of story.

With the poor outcome of boys in school they are the ones that need mentoring and programs.

    We need a MGTOW university.

    Why are you surprised?

    That’s the real question?

With the misandristic war on boys that’s been going on, I’m shocked that they haven’t sent boys to work the mines…yet.

They want women to be “The new Men”
And us to be the women.

    Thats the point to everything.

    Waste of time.

I’d give it a year before it get’s discontinued.

The stupidity in this is that the funding could be better spent on creating successful a group for everyone who has a genuine interest in coding.

    Yes.
    And they will succeed.

This was foretold by many people over the centuries.
For example Tesla predicted that in the future women will rule over men and have sex- and work-slaves.

This is exactly what’s happening right in front of us.
It’s what this #metoo stuff is all about. Women want to be in charge, using the top 20% of studs to spank and f~~~ them and using the rest of us as asexual workhorses. And to achieve this they’ve been utilizing the power of the state.

This is what the situation is and I know that it is going to get much, much worse in the future.

I wish I had better news.

Girls who code? I’ve never met one. When I went to College there was only one girl in the program the whole 4 years I was there.

The only girl in the program kept a harem of Beta Orbiters to do her Lab Reports and Assignments. She did nothing, learned nothing, only caused jealousy and competition between Beta Boys.

My Female Professors were a joke. I knew more than them going into the class. There was a few times I solved problems that they could not figure out how I possibly could have solved them. These women were supposed Mathematics experts too. Lol.

This has gone on for decades. I work in Engineering. We have SWE (the Society for Women Engineers). They award scholarships, but only to women. Why not just award scholarships based on MERIT instead of race and gender?

After all, nobody is proposing scholarships for males to college because they’re now, overall, under-represented there, are they? Must we then also have special scholarships for males to enter nursing or teaching because they are ‘under-represented’?

I think it’s great to encourage ALL kids, women, minorities etc to pursue what they wish. But I see no need to balkanize into groups (identity politics), or offer special treatment due to race, ethnicity, or gender.

I’ve known women who were good design engineers and coders, but few of them. PhD educators/researchers in engineering? Only one competent one, the only woman in my department in fact (I’m showing my age here, I graduated a couple of decades ago).

Yes and those competent ones got all the special programs and benefits to get there.

How many boys were kept out of engineering and turned away to open up positions for “under represented” women?

I’ve met lots of Electricians, who could have been Engineers, but the universities kept them out. No programs to help boys get into STEM, but lots and lots of programs for girls (who usually change majors halfway into it).

The one thing that you’re missing is the assumption of “oppression” that leads to the outright bias and prejudice that you’re seeing. The thinking goes like this, women and minorities have been historically oppressed and denied opportunities therefore they have relegated to second tier status and under representation at all levels and segments of society. To correct this problem systemic change needs to take place. This is accomplice by giving gender and race specific scholarships, creating and enforcing affirmative action programs, creating educational programs that teach and emphasize “inclusion and diversity,” and reviewing and reworking if need be current governmental programs that perhaps exclude women and racial minorities. See how that works?

This is what they mean for equality, women get everything, men get nothing.

They will get everything “for free”, and guess who will pay ? Men ! They are hiring a lot of s~~~ty c~~~ coders, guess who will have to fix the real bugs and implement the complicated code ? Men !

Women will just sit and write blog posts about how awesome is to be a woman in tech and complain about sexism on twitter.

I have nothing against anyone on the industry, BUT I have against people who doesn’t deserve what they got. I mean, a c~~~ with no talent, an obnoxious personality (seriously, women in tech think that they are gods !), absolutely NO KNOWLEDGE, they just memorize some complicated terms for simple things, to feel superior talking with people about tech. Truth to be said, there are women who earned to be in tech, as well manginas, but we all know who is the one that works 40 hours in a “non-stop-mode”, build the foundations what they have and do the real hard job.

IT industry become so toxic with this SJW bulls~~~ that is unbearable to work anymore, I noticed in several companies that there is a huge difference in the workload, but not really that huge difference in the paycheck… In other words, there are some people that do some miracles and get paid the same as the c~~~/mangina that spent the day on starbucks because “the office suffocates me, it suck my creativity”…

I completely hate what the industry become, the intellectual level dropped so much, there are so many f~~~ed up people there, that the image of a “smart engineer” who build amazing things is completely gone, what is left is “c~~~-feminist-vegan who uses a lot of glued code copied from stackoverflow and a lot of libraries made by men, and call herself a computer genius”

Boys are marginalized and there is a huge barrier between they and the IT industry, I can say that “white-straight-male” are nowadays the most hated person in the industry. They will never be recognized and will always have to do all the hardwork.

C~~~s are just taking over, men build the whole industry, now they are just saying “now that it is working and we don’t need to work to keep it working, you leave and I assume from here, and get all the money and credit for your work”

This is a good point, but this is not what they mean for “equality”, unfortunately women aren’t capable to think logically.

Some of these projects are sponsored by big companies… They pay to teach some minorities, and as soon as they reach an “maybe is acceptable” level, they are hired.

For a straight-white-male, or you are extremely good, or you have some master/Phd degree. For women and other minorities, just being able to answer an email is enough to hire. This is f~~~ed up for both sides, women who really work, will suffer from the impostor syndrome, because they will think “I was hired because I’m good at my job ? Or I’m just another retarded squirrel here ?”

If the opposite were true, in fields dominated by women, men being able to get scholarships, that would be a little bit more fair…

Veterinary is an area basically dominated by women, here is what happens

Society is shooting itself in the foot by empowering women at the expense of men. Men and women were not created equal, both scientifically and religiously. The laws of nature (or God) will eventually win out. History has proven that time and time again.

It’s a zero sum game to feminists and women at large. In order for them to win others must lose, that’s been their game plan all along. Every single “advancement” has been at the expense of something else. Easy divorce means the easy destruction of the family, family courts with a clear bias towards women means the destruction of the well being of men, affirmative action means the death of a meritocracy, a blurring or outright discharge of gender roles means the destruction of what nature created us to be. I could go on but I won’t. It’s a damn shame too.

You are right; it is a shame. Our generation of men were sold out by previous generations of weak-willed men.

I don’t think making a website on Wix counts as coding.

Travis: You are correct, ‘oppression’ or ‘historic discrimination’ is central to the narrative of the Social Justice Warrior.

Of course, meritocracy is destroyed by these affirmative action schemes.

Women predominate in many ‘helping’ professions such as nursing. I see no reason why government should try to guarantee the makeup of Engineers is 50% female any more than I see a need to have 50% male nurses.

Sometimes career choices are simply aggregates of individual choices. Flip the progressive narrative around to expose this: Is the inequal representation of men in nursing due to men being oppressed?

One guy at work was speechless when I said the wage gap was mythology. I explained it jokingly, though, and said greed would surely overcome misogyny if the boss man could hire women to do our jobs for 20% less he would surely do so. I then explained how market forces punished employers for discriminating, by giving up the best job applicants to their competitors who did not discriminate.
