Especially considering Star Wars had already set the formula for how to do this kind of transition story effectively.

They still had time to do re-shoots after Force Awakens dropped.

Star Wars The Feminist Awakens is a load of garbage. The people who enjoyed it will look back on it in a couple of years time and realise how crap it is

Feminist Rogue One has had to do major reshoots and I have a sneaking feeling it is going to be a flop(it looks terrible) and from the sounds of Episode 8; Rey is going to end up as a super Yoda and God of the Universe so the mainline films hopefully will go the same way as C~~~busters has

expect Lucas to buy back Star Wars when Disney realise they aren’t going to make their money back and then we get REAL Star Wars back

Lucas wouldn’t be able to give you the “real” Star Wars back. He’s responsible for the prequels, remember?

You need to resurrect Leigh Brackett and Irvin Kershner while getting Lawrence Kasdan to direct.

Do not date. Do not impregnate. Do not co-habitate. Above all, do not marry. Reclaim and never again surrender your personal sovereignty.

I’m one of the few people who didn’t mind the prequels. Obviously they weren’t a patch on the originals but you still got some great moments like Duel of the Fates, (with the exception of a bit of hammy acting in ROTS) Palpatine scheming his way to creating The Empire, Order 66 and Anakin’s revenge on the Sandpeople

it had its moments but either way they felt like Star Wars films whereas the Femi Awakens was just a lesson pushing agendas with a Star Wars label (like Rogue One is going to be)

Yeah… I think you need to take your Red pill hat off for just a minute and put your business hat on. Disney did what it knew to be successful. What it’s done time and time again. The Disney princess coming of age story. The result?

Force Awakens is the third highest grossing film of all time. I’m talking about the bottom line, the only bar by which studios measure success or failure. Feig’s Ghostbusters never stood a chance to make profit. He could have, if he’d followed what’s proven successful. Meaning even if he HAD to do his all female ghostbusters (which was a bad idea), he should have kept continuity and had the original cast hand them the mantle.

That’s what executives are for. To rein in the director. That didn’t seem to happen and it’s a huge mistake.

Don’t react aggressively to any trolls or naysayers. Don’t create an aura of negativity around the movie. Don’t put ideology ahead of profit.

Basic professionalism and business sense. This is franchise cinema. Not avant garde storytelling.

Sorry but no force awakens hasn’t deviated from the past movies. Rey Palpatine is no different to Leia Organa.

Perhaps they have, but it will take some time for the new thinking to take hold.

I suspect they haven’t really learned, but are only moving on to make different mistakes.

No sequel? what?!! You mean we don’t get to see Melissa McCarthy in that jumpsuit again? Thank god.

You think Sony will lean it’s lesson from trying to shove their feminist views down our throat? Probably not..

..I can’t wait to see what happens with the next Ocean’s 8 flick featuring all women. Oh wait I know, it will BOMB .

As they say history repeats itself..

Anyway I’m sure Harold Ramis is turning over in his grave ..RIP

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me
