Just got fired. I can’t control my classroom. This was an ongoing problem all year. Let go with 6 weeks left to go. Fine, let someone else have it. I followed their procedures, took their suggestions, but I can’t overcome bad behavior from 1/3 of my class. No other teacher in the building had the problems I did. This leads me to believe they all traded baseball cards before the school year started, before I got there. Or maybe I just suck out loud as a teacher. Take your pick. In 400 hours of training in classrooms and 6 years of volunteer work, I never saw such bad behavior from any of the children I worked with before I came here. I worked in urban, rural and suburban schools, taught all kinds of kids. Nothing like this though.

Someone did me a big fat favor, I think. I have some family who will take me in, stuff is paid up for the month. No tent this time. Maybe I need to walk away from this occupation. It felt like I was getting crapped on everyday by kids and coworkers. This position was temporary when I was hired. I don’t think the next teaching assignment in this town was going to be any better either. I was looking on job boards last week.

Other than the constant baseless racism accusations, defiance, disobedience, theft, lying, drama, cheating, mayhem, office politics, and low test scores, I had a pretty lousy time here.

I’m ok. I am stronger than this.

Might think you just got fired but I’m pretty sure you just got released from prison. Sure a lot of the men are going to tell you that when one door closes another one opens. This may be the truth but it’s the goddamn hallways that’ll kill you. Your attitude will definitely determine how are you go from here and it sounds like your attitude is good. This is very positive.

bright young man like you needs to get going, Now find a job that you can make money at you have a degree I’m sure you could go to another school district I know that Vail Arizona is hiring

Maybe this is a blessing in disguise. Teachers are hard to come by, I’m told. Find a better school district that needs you. Best of luck to you.

Sorry to hear May. I come from a family full of female teachers. I know it can be hard for a man (no f~~~in’ that’s what she said jokes assholes 😉 ) in the teaching profession.

Kids are becoming more difficult to manage as time passes. Too many single moms breeding without consequence.

You sound good and I’m praying for your well being. Peace be with you friend.

I feel like I was released from prison.

I dreaded going to work and dealing with some of those children. Particularly on days where I had to rely on their behavior like reviews, field trips, assemblies, practice drills, in class visitors. The same 8 kids never let me down, things went to s~~~ fast in my class. I had a near riot on a parent’s visit day. At a zoo visit, 2 of my kids were busted for shoplifting, and 6 took quadcycles for a wild but short ride 3 minutes before we were to get on the bus. I could count on 3 or 4 kids being removed from assemblies by other teachers. LOL one of my kids punctured 24 yoga b~~~~ in another classroom, at $35 a pop. Most recently a couple kids stole 3 pounds of Jolly Rancher candies out of my desk. They left me the bag and 3 candies. WTF!

Let us know if we can help. Not sure why anyone would pick that profession coming out of school right now. The less you deal with people for your job nowadays seems to be a lot less stressful. Keep a positive additude keep up the good fight we are rooting for you.

If you were allowed to beat the s~~~ out of them then the profession could be salvaged, but only if you were allowed to beat the s~~~ out of them!

My uncle was a teacher, he used to kindly say, i go to the Zoo everyday. I never understood what he meant until i grew older and started to really look at children as animals and monkeys LOL.

    Just got fired.

Best thing that can happen. Get you out of that gynocentric s~~~ show we know as public “edukashun”.

I got fired 20 some years ago from what, at the time, I considered a dream job [woman accused
me of “harassment”]. Best. Event. Ever. Now I work for myself doing the same thing making 4X the $$.

I think this is a good thing. The way you were going one day you would have started the car, pulled down the garage door and inhaled deeply. You are a free man now. If you really don’t like teaching do something else—something solitary, like truck driving. Or if you want to keep teaching then change the rules; teach at a Catholic school—someplace the kids ca have the s~~~ beat out of them.

If you are in “lazy” mode and need some quick cash—write a screenplay about a “special-needs” little girl who “overcomes” the evil male patriarchy to achieve fantastic success. IF you make her gay and muslim as well—this is a SLAM DUNK!

Try for security at an office building,or wharehouse. You don’t want to get suckered into retail security. Might as well be a teacher again.
Many companies pay weekly. Those companies love mature men. You get overtime, show up on time, and don’t cry about petty crap as much. A lot of companies also have graveyard shortages. The only requirement is don’t fall asleep. Also have a basic grasp of written english. Super easy for a steady paycheck.

Have you considered adult education training. I do corporate training and I love it. Learn a software inside and out like Word or Excel. Safety training. Sales training is always in demand.

It’s modurn educasjun, even if you were the best goddamn teacher out there you’d still get no respect and would be booted if a girl had the slightest dislike of you, and she’d be seen as a strong and independant hero of a woman.

Best to get out of that s~~~ like you said.
