I don’t know if I’d want it to be tax payer funded. I have no doubt that it would be corrupted from it’s original purpose rather quickly. Although it wouldn’t be as well funded, a charitable organization could be a lot more effective.

As well, it seems for men, a shelter would be of less a concern then legal advice and protection. I know a lot of men would need a shelter, to get away from a crazy. However, it seems like it would be a greater need to educate men on their rights and how to protect themselves from false acquisitions. How to effectively record conversations, how to legally remove a woman from your home, etc.

Honestly, if the government (or religious organizations) are going to do something about DV, I would much rather they provide mandatory pre-marriage counseling session regarding signs of DV behavior and protections. Churches already do something similar, providing fluff advice to engaged couples.

Really, all this stuff is pretty easy, because it’s the truth. What makes it hard is that women will continue to manipulate to keep the truth hidden.

Ok. Then do it.
