If you are going to base your entire worldview, and bank your eternity, on a single doctrine, you owe it to yourself to know what that doctrine actually is, and to have a damn good reason for committing to it.

“It’s what my parents told me when I was a kid” is a terrible reason. “It’s what a bunch of scholars, who’s names I don’t even know, figured out a long time ago” is another terrible reason. “Because if I don’t believe this, I will be tortured in fire forever” is a direct result of child-abuse.

Want to put your faith in God? That’s wonderful. If you put your faith in the Bible, then you aren’t actually putting your faith in God. You are putting your faith in the (fallible) humans that wrote the Bible, and also the (fallible) humans that translated it to English, and also the (fallible) humans that explain what the hell it all means. Faith in humans is not the same thing as faith in God!

What’s that you say? God used his divine power to make sure that the Bible is free of errors? Did God Himself tell you this, or did a bunch of fallible humans tell you this? Did some fallible humans write that in the Bible too, perhaps?

Objectively speaking, the Fundamentalist interpretation of the Bible is the single most terrifying horror story ever told. They worship a monster that tortures his own children, keeping them alive just so he can keep torturing them, and insisting that he is merciful because he lets a tiny fraction of them out of this fate because they made the right guess.

Jesus was a rebel. He spent most of his ministry challenging the false beliefs of the religious authorities of his day. If you are truly devoted to following his examples…why aren’t you doing the same?

It is wise to fear dangerous commitments.

Women have rejected God and his plan for them. That is between God and them. We are out of it.

    Went our own way.

Thanks EVE, but I will pass on the apple.

As someone who had to study it in Catholic school for 12 years, I wholeheartedly agree. It makes Stephen King novels look like a Dr. Suess book in comparison. I always found it interesting how an allegedly omnipotent being with infinite ways to solve problems chose horrific violence. Even more peculiar is how a creator faults the creation for not being up to his standards. Oh, and then we have the hundreds of contradictions.

Read the book of revelations….it is coming true: what was good will be perceived as evil by the world and vice versa (e.g., hypergamy, children out of wedlock, feminism, tattoos, etc.) These things must happen including great wars before the world comes to an end and HIS second coming.

American cunts constantly think they live in a reality TV show.....Evil POSs....ALL CUNTS ARE THE SAME….THERE ARE NO UNICORNS!!! EVEN CHURCH GOING, PROCLAIMED VIRGINS ARE THE SAME CUNTS…..THEY ALL MONKEY BRANCH…TO HELL WITH THEM ALL!!!

Watched the first 1:30. This will be very interesting. I wish I didn’t have so much to do today. I am in and out. I will finish it and comment later, but I can already tell he is in for a world of hurt with women. Nice, decent, thoughtful guy, raised in a religious family, somewhat socially awkward (he gets breathless here from talking to camera – I assume nerves).
Hopefully he finds his way through it and maybe even finds us at some point.

Good post Greg, thanks. More later.

    Thanks RPR,

I could see he was struggling so offered to post his vid here. I’m interested to see if his religion prevents him from going full MGTOW. Looking forwards to comments.

Hey Greg, I didn’t want you to think I was not a man of my word. I said I would weigh in more, but honestly I thought it would be more women oriented.

I was raised in a conservative Christian home, first Alliance Witness, and then after moving south Baptist. I went to a private Christian school for a few years. I have some fundamental issues with organized religion and even with the concept of eternal damnation from our spiritual father. I reject that a father would do that to his own children for eternity, simply because of lack of faith, borne from human doubt that he created. I cannot imagine a father burning his children forever, and I cannot conceive of the monstrous ego and spiteful nature to allow that to seem like the right choice for your doubt filled children. Especially when he could SHOW himself at anytime and clear that doubt up.

I mean, who is not going to believe in him if he does that?

And quite frankly I reject a god that evil. So I guess I might be f~~~ed.

Other than saying that, my feelings, I would never try to sway or offer advice to any man on such a weighty issue as their belief in eternal salvation etc.

Best of luck to him, and to you. I hope he finds what he seeks.

    Sorry.

TLDR version – I don’t dabble with other peoples religious beliefs/faith.

I believe in God and pray to him, often for strength in my dealings with women and also for those I care about. I’m not a fundamentalist and I rarely go to Church. I am liberal in my interpretation and perhaps some would not even regard me as a Christian but it gives me strength and acknowledges we are all flawed and I frequently ask forgiveness for my own short comings and to forgive other people theirs.

Aside from upholding marriage I think it’s perfectly possible to be a Christian MGHOW. The Bible understands female nature perfectly – Proverbs, David and Bathsheba, Samson and Delilah etc etc etc

    RPR,
This was was very similar to my upbringing. I felt the same exact sentiments about the father’s apparently condemning nature. Someone, somewhere once told me to simply consider this situation from God’s perspective for a minute. He gave us a path out of this condemnation. He went so far as to sacrifice his own son in order to make this path available to us. All we have to do is accept and believe in that. He even gave us a heads up that this was coming hundreds of years earlier. Hundreds of details about this were provided in advance including the exact genealogy of Jesus. Considering this, God is not as condemning as I had previously thought and he DID show himself through this written record of events, some written by actual eye witnesses.

People have been saying that “IT’S THE END OF DAYS” for the past two thousand years. I guess eventually they’ll be right…

Unfortunately I have go make that paper, or I’d post much more. The Bible is one of the most well known, pro-men, pro-MGTOW book I’ve ever read. But a lot of church FEAR bringing this to light because the need men to tow the line so they can continue to pander to women and expand their resource based.

I say this as a church Going Christian for most of my life including now who admits he’s no saint and have made my share of mistakes in life.

Just ask yourself why are all the Disciples men? Jesus could have picked ANYONE. Twelve choices, and they’re all men. Even Judas

Because it was in the script?

Let’s just wait and see what happens when the feminists start bitching about ‘equal’ representation in the bible. I’m thinking we’ll be looking at a gender balanced re-write…

Honestly, I am so conflicted over the religious dogmas of the world, that I don’t even know what is what anymore. I know the distinctions from right from wrong, and I can veritably say that this isn’t because of my christian upbringing. I just ask myself, Would I want this to be done to me? If the answer is no, then I don’t do it. It is really as simple as that. I have started to reach the logical conclusion that the greatest fear we have as humans is not simply dying, but it is dying alone. In the end, I just hope I have curried enough favor to be worthy of his grace. IDK maybe Christ may come in my lifetime. Society is certainly teetering of the edge of moral collapse. I guess only time will tell…

Exactly. You don’t need religion to have morals. Morality is built on empathy.

Yeah, I know. That conflict that you’re dealing with goes away when you realize that there is, never was, a god.

Just try doing what I talked about a few posts ago. Put on the no-god glasses, just for a few moments. Take a quick look around.

Pretend that there’s no god and take a look at our world. See if it all starts to make sense. If it doesn’t, try it again tomorrow.

I think that there are a lot of people with the same issue that you’re dealing with but for whatever reason they’re just afraid to consider that there really is no god.

I’m telling you now that that fear is nothing to worry about. Living with no god is not as bad as you probably think it is but I’ll concede that it’s not for everybody…

Religion, as I see it, is just one of many frameworks one can use to figure out getting through this thing called life.

MGTOW and the Manosphere provide frameworks as well.

You can give twelve men the same framework and no two men will build a life using that framework exactly the same way.
