Also, just because nobody was convicted doesn’t mean that crimes were not committed if you were going to go that route.

If I recall correctly only African countries are ever convicted of war crimes for the most part, and many of them are leaving the ICC because of it. As far as U.S. individuals carrying out war crimes??? They almost never get prosecuted by anyone in or out of house, because if they did many at the top would have some explaining to do, and we can’t have that.

Several people from all branches have been tried and convicted for offenses committed in Iraq and Afghanistan under the UCMJ, including the assholes at Abu Ghraib. Somehow that always gets forgotten.
