As a professional who has been struck off and an amateur gynecologist @drhymandds I am shocked – SHOCKED- that the alarum has been raised by a woman. Where would men be without a natural woman to ignore us after coming home from a hard day’s toil working to pay off the charge cards driven up by the purchase of shoes and moisturizers and eyeliners and spanx? What would men do absent the strident reminders of our shortcomings in things as diverse as relationships with our in-laws, time spent helping about the house, the insufficiency of evenings out and the paucity of vacations in exotic places? How would men find meaning in a life where silence greeted our every foray in things of interest to us when we were expected to provide a sounding board for a woman whose niece had decided to come out of the closet or whose mother was going dotty? Would life not lose its essential meaning if we were not asked to help move furniture about, buy larger houses in better areas and go to more and more expensive places for dinners and vacations? How would we get on if our spouse did not swing wildly from being on the attack over our shortcomings to moody and lengthy periods of silence provoked by God knows what? And what of the sexual relations? We men all remember those fondly from our early 20’s. Now they are as rare as golden hens’ teeth and as stimulating as falling into a tub of cold oatmeal every three months. And, of course, we have sentient women companions to thank for their daily reminders that we drink to excess and are more interested in footy than in them.

Yes, it will be difficult to subsist with only a half-intelligent fembot sex machine who feigns an interest in our forays into conversation and is trained to mix drinks and deliver them on demand. With a cleaning woman coming in once a week and a new Porsche in the garage, we will miss the old girl.
