I read a few reddit subs because they’re f~~~ing hilarious. One had a link to a PUA forum. I’ve never really read their material before, but holy s~~~ it was comical.

To summarize the concepts of the lengthy thread in a single sentence would be – It was about how to talk to people.

Literally.

It was like reading a bunch of completely asocial, geeky people trying to engineer a basic conversation.

I know some of our members are ex-PUA guys. Are most of the people in that community just entirely lacking in social skills?

I never understood the PUA scene. I was once interested in it when I was young. But the stuff was so ridiculous I couldn’t believe people spent actual money on it.

It’s like, basically, “how to be a normal person. Take this course for $500!”

I never had a problem talking to women.

I Always just treated them as people and was light and friendly and I received favourable responses.

But this whole PUA thing left me cold. I read enough about it to know that it just ain’t ‘right’

How to make things unnecessarily complicated and turn it into some kind of black art when there is just no need.

My pet hate is when they use ‘approaching women’

I f~~~ing hate that phrase, it’s ridiculous the more you think about it.

Still, if their goal is to just get laid and they think it works for them, each to their own.

I think it’s connected to more and more women giving birth in their 30s. Those kids seem to all come out as autists, retards and with various other defects and also allergies. It’s so common that it’s almost normal now to be a ‘tard.

The guys running those simping seminars are making millions teaching weirdos how to talk to people.

This, in a nutshell, is precisely what they do. It’s as though they’re trying to juggle all of these ridiculous and conflicting concepts at one and the same time, just to TALK to someone.

To put it as succinctly as possible, it’s – training oneself to think and behave like a woman.

I suppose THAT is why it comes across as so convoluted, overly complicated, and simply pathetic.

Maybe so.

I’m a relatively quiet guy, but I can hold my own in social situations.

I’m starting to think that a plethora of men either didn’t have satisfactory in their interactions with women or social situations in general.

During periods from preschool all the way up to college, are people trying to find their way socially. Those guys probably feel like they don’t fit in and are taking classes to “fix” it.

I’ve had many situations,socially ranging from triumphant to embarrassing, with men and women.

Everyone doesn’t have the luxury of having those range of experiences on the constant bases. Well at least to their personal favor.

Those men in PUA are looking to better their social lives and feel better about themselves. They lack the experiences from their younger days because they may have been ostracised from women and men throughout their lives.

I remember years ago, on one of my birthdays, I had about 15 to 20 people around me.

That got reduced to maybe 4 people. I will probably never see the rest of them again.

Most guys don’t have groups where they can get a feel for human interaction. It self perpetuates because people that find them awkward are repelled by them.

They want to change that. Personally, I think it’s futile to some degree, but I digress.

I think you’re right that it creates a “structure” for people who are awkward around women.

But I think there’s another side to it which might appeal to people on the autistic spectrum: it’s got this whole jargon of its own, endless three-letter acronyms (ASD, LMR etc. etc.) and I think those guys geek out on that.

It turns pussy chasing into a kind of chess game: “Knight to D4” or whatever. I think they even talk about gambits.

I mean, if it helps awkward guys get what they want them I don’t hate them for that. It’s made good money for some people and I’m fine with people making money. Just no interest in it myself.

But the one good thing about it might be that some PUAs will start googling “red pill”, find MGTOW and come over to us once they’ve been checkmated one too many times.
