Ha, I love this. They’re saying online ratings are “broken” because men apparently do this:

More specifically, a vocal portion of men on the internet — shall we say — go out of their way to make their voices heard when it comes to judging entertainment aimed at women, and that appears to be happening with the new “Ghostbusters.”

Yes, that’s right ladies, blame it on the men for your shortcomings as always!

This is one of the big differences between men and women. Women will always blame their faults on men or something else, while men will just accept their faults/failures and move on to produce something even greater.

Geeze, if movies had vagina images in all of them all the time, and vagina jokes at every turn, and men grouped up to blow out the final boss’s vagina in the last scene of a movie… Women would not do the same?

I have seen more and more dick images and more and more dick jokes in movies since around 2k. Still have yet to see a vagina, and can’t remember many or any vagina jokes…

Why are these c~~~s so obsess in the need of success for this movie?

Getting desperate perhaps? It’s like all of their life work is in this movie or something.

Women who blame men are LOSERS! End of Story.

Well, in a couple more days we’ll know for sure if those ratings were warranted.

The previews look like s~~~ and I’m sick and tired of reboots so I’m guessing that my opinion will stay the same if I ever actually see it. The previews looked so bad that I honestly felt bad for a moment out of embarrassment for all involved with the movie.

This is one of the first “you go gurl” movies that I can remember that is straight up reversing the roles and replacing men with women. If they can get the public to bite then we’re going to see a slew of this type of s~~~ explode onto the market. It’s been coming for a while now. Marvel is probably anxiously waiting to see how this circus plays out as they are currently f~~~ing up their entire storyline universe in the same manor it seems.

Shows for women have no appeal to men, generally speaking. No attempt is even made to appeal to men. Naturally they will give bad ratings because there was nothing in the show or movie for them to like. It’s no different than an adult not liking a kid’s movie or a kid not liking a drama geared towards adults. Do women give bad ratings for shows geared towards men? If there are any left, because they have been systematically removed from the air, they probably would give bad ratings. It’s not a conspiracy. Don’t market a movie as though it’s for everyone, when it is really geared towards women only. Especially when the original was meant for all audiences.

I haven’t watched any movies for years anyway. The last movie I actually enjoyed was Dark Knight. And that was about a decade ago now.

It isn’t worth it to me to try and sift through all the s~~~ out of Hollywood to maybe find something good. Good, bad, whatever, I stopped caring.

I read books and play old video games. Very rarely I play a new video game, but not usually anything mainstream.

I suspect the vast majority of people that still actively consume mainstream media are manginas and women, so the only reason they’d avoid femghostbusters is because it genuinely sucks.

The only good things that could be said about this movie is that it was in color, the lines were short, and you could wipe your ass with your ticket.

Hollyweird got this all wrong. It’s not a comedy. It’s a disaster movie. Literally. I’m sure they will attempt to pump it up and some dickbrain will claim it as the “Number 1 movie in America!” If that happens just remember this: movie theaters don’t give refunds.

Way to screw up a classic assholes.

Of course they bloody are! We men just sabotage everything, don’t we?! It couldn’t possibly have anything to do with the movie being blinkered, unfunny crap! It’s a scientific fact that feminist movies only ever fail because men just cannot accept change! F~~~ it, I think that we were responsible for the dinosaurs going extinct, don’t you?

Goddamnit, they’re such f~~~ing BABIES. I was raised being taught a very reasonable statute: If you can’t take criticism, then you don’t deserve praise. If you can’t be a good loser, then you can’t be a good winner. It’s clearly a piece-of-s~~~ movie and they could learn something from it. The mature thing to do, would be to take a step back and say, “OK…we made a bad movie. Let’s take this as an incentive to try harder next time. With our next film, we’ll come up with our OWN f~~~ing idea, and we’ll – hey, are you ready for this? – make it enjoyable for both sexes.”

Bill Murray openly admitted that he regretted doing Garfield. He had to come forth and say, “Yeah, sorry about that…it wasn’t a good movie.” How would it be if he just blamed the film’s failure on people’s prejudice towards cats?!

Judge the movie on it’s merits and when it fails, then cry misogyny. Typical s~~~. It’s all men’s fault. how about you worry about the supposedly “very vocal” minority of women that supposedly give feminism a bad name? Because it’s not a minority, it’s a majority. The movie sucks, deal with it. How many women saw it? How many women liked it? How many women liked the original. Most women I know have never even seen the original.

But, like everything else, it must be men’s fault. How about making a good movie next time? No, just pump out another piece of s~~~ like this and expect the whole world to like it simply because it has wiiimiiin in it, and then expect the whole world to revolve around you like women always f~~~ing do.

Feminism is a movement where opinions are presented as facts and emotions are presented as evidence.

Even people who were on the fence about the movie are saying that it’s at best an average movie.

The bleeding heart lefties are the ones who think everyone should lie and pretend that the film is a lot better than it actually is.

I admit it. I commanded my 5 million strong Bot army to sabotage this movie. /sarc

The movie could just possibly suck. Did they even entertain that?

@NSA/FBI: This is called sarcasm. I understand your overwhelmed surveillance AI has difficultly discerning it. I have no Bot army. I’m just saving you some time. I love you Big Brother. I really do. Cheers, CPig!

Could it be possible that men in general are getting utterly sick and f~~~ing tired of he-woman and all her fascinating bulls~~~ when in reality every woman around him isn’t even capable of running! Just a slow waddling walk to the next pie hole stuffing!

I don’t know about all the feminazi propaganda and the illision they portray, but in my reality women are worth less than s~~~! F~~~’n unreal the measures they’ll go through to cover up the truth about the degradation of women and all their destructive s~~~!

I would need a 1700’s Buffalo herd if I were to count the damaged and ruined men using buffalo horns and hooves to make the count!

This feminazi society has gone A.W.A.L. from all responsibility and accountability! I’m SERIOUS! It’s LONG PAST TIME FOR MEN TO RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! I mean f~~~ing RUN!

Of course they’ll blame it on men and misogyny. I assume that all the Chinese are misogynists because this movie was banned in China, wasn’t it?

I asked my mom if she wanted to go, out of curiosity, and she had no interest in seeing it. She actually wanted to see Star Trek Beyond the day it came out instead.

The producers that made this movie are counting on boards like this to spread the word about the movie:

WEEKEND PREVIEW: This weekend Sony’s Ghostbusters hits theaters amid a flurry of headlines such as being named the film with the most disliked movie trailer in YouTube history to Sony chief Tom Rothman responding to the negative online response by telling The Hollywood Reporter, “It’s the greatest thing that ever happened. Are you kidding me? We’re in the national debate, thank you. Can we please get some more haters to say stupid things?” As a result, awareness certainly seems high, but how that awareness translates to box office is the big question. There’s always the old saying, “There’s no such thing as bad press”… right?

and it’s doing OK, not great, not too bad at the box office so far according to this written, 45 million:

4TH UPDATE, Saturday 1:10AM: Sony/Village Roadshow’s female Ghostbusters has slowed in its weekend estimates from some of the hyper projections we saw on Friday, now heading toward a $45M weekend opening after winning Friday with a $17.1M gross.

And here we are, shilling for these shysters.

Apparently ‘somebody’ is adjusting the Wikipedia page.

The budget has gone from 150 million magically to 144 million .

and it’s doing OK, not great, not too bad at the box office so far according to this written, 45 million:

That’s a “projected” $45 million (down from $55 million – they keep moving those goalposts) based in the mid-week take of $3 million or so. I suspect most of those ticket “sales” were from all the free ticket promotions they’ve been tossing out for this thing – anything to get butts in seats and boost the perceived numbers. But given the hype and counterhype around this film, how many of the people who actually want to see it, for whatever reason, would wait for the weekend? The ones who want to boost perceived ticket sales would make sure to see it as soon as possible. So they’ve already seen it. Will they pay again to see it over the weekend?

I honestly expect this film to make a respectable, though not outstanding, amount of money in the first week thanks to all the free press its gotten, but then drop completely off the radar. Toy sales will be abysmal, and you can expect the 3D bluray to be in the $2 bin at the front of your local supermarket in short order. It’s a studio pushed production, so expect it to be called a “success” no matter what. And they will go ahead with the sequel no matter what, because any studio stupid enough to go this far with this pile of crap can’t be finished with making mistakes. The sequel will bomb by any measure, and that will kill the franchise for good.

Phew, for a second there I thought that that said $171 million.

I asked my mom if she wanted to go, out of curiosity, and she had no interest in seeing it. She actually wanted to see Star Trek Beyond the day it came out instead.

Your Mum has good taste Moth.

Exactly, it may do well initially, but I think that the majority of people will only be happy to go and see it the once. It doesn’t look like the kind of film that warrants a second viewing. Even taking all of the political s~~~ out of the equation, the word is that it’s generally rather boring.

Can you blame people giving low ratings to products more concerned with “representation” or “diversity” than actual content like good writting and solid acting ?.

"We didn't start the fire. It was always burning. Since the world's been turning" "A world that vilifies men only breeds a generation of men that feel no empathy towards women" “In a woman’s mind , there is really no such thing as a ‘we’. In her eyes, earth allways revolves around her, not the other way around. So thinking that your needs , aspirations or desires are valid enough to be persued, or even that you are entitled achive such goals, is like asking your boss for a pay rise in your very first day at the job.”
