As bad a rap as gasoline gets. The chemicals released when gasoline burns break down into nature with minimum problems.

Electric cars as they are now are mostly charged batteries. These batteries are connected metal strips suspended in an acid bath, which is surrounded in a case which hopefully does not leak. The lifespan of these large batteries is far shorter than a combustion engine, or even a normal car battery for lights. And while normal car batteries are recycled in many cases, these larger batteries are not recycled and there is no way to safely dispose of these batteries.

Electric cars are only claimed to be “eco-friendly” because the “cool kids” told you they are “eco-friendly”.

Just like solar panels are claimed to be “eco-friendly”. That you will get a return on your solar panel investment in thirty years, that will be five years after the end of the solar panel’s lifespan.

I have to laugh at such gullibility. Truly, a fool and their money are soon parted.

Also, these oil refinery companies (owned by the elite) will never allow electric cars to go ahead and replace all gasoline cars. They will do whatever it takes to suck out every drop of oil in Earth. The best interest of the elite will always come first.

You have that assbackwards. It is the elitests pushing eco-fascism so the common people do not have cars and other technology.

The reason is simple. The people have learned the whole “peak oil” propaganda is crap. The U.S. and Russia are both sitting under an ocean of oil and shale. And the elitists are about to see oil prices drop all the way to the bottom, with humanity having a major kick start. A kick start the elitists have tried to stop so they could send humanity into a feudal dark age where the elitists are in control.

That is why I have waited as long as now to change over.

I’m in my forever home in a far corner of the world.

It makes sense for my situation to be a terrible un-ecological person who destroys the planet.

The pink pussy hat eco friendly perfect snowflakes can come picket me…

Keymaster made reference to seeing one. KM, did you get to ride in it?

NO!! But I wish I did. I saw the reveal online and checked out the pictures. I LOVE the minimal dash. I have only seen Teslas on the road and never even visited a dealer.

They aren’t really my style, because I like a more brutish muscle car that I can HEAR…. but I appreciate the elegance and simplicity. The model 3 definitely made my eyebrow go up.

These cars are still high-depreciating. They don’t hold their value very well, because batteries will improve a lot over the next few years, and the interior tech will double in 18 months so they “obsolete” quickly. I just want a CAR. Not an iPad with wheels. Sweeping bias, but you get my point.

Otherwise this Model 3 kinda blows my hair back. Not a lot of new cars do that for me, but I like it.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

Ahh, yes, I watched as well. Have driven the S. I’m seriously considering getting a used model S. That’s what Elon is pushing. A model 3 with options will be 50k vs used S for 45k ish.

I just need a 150 miles round trip daily commuter. Have my truck for hauling boat etc.

On the sound, you can program in various vehicles on audio system and do ludicrous mode and it sounds like that vehicle.

Got a feeling that the first time you jettison in a model S in ludicrous you will get the rush of adrenaline that you need.

Nikola Tesla could have been the richest man on the planet, but he chose to share his discoveries and inventions. Nothing against the founders of the Tesla company, but I would never use the name Tesla and piggy back off it.

Elon Musk is basically a Con Man. He used Tesla’s good name to create his brand. He milked the Government grant system to fund his R&D and start up costs. He has abused the Grant system and used Tax Payer Money to build a corporate empire for himself. I don’t know how any one can pull that off, but he must be connected to someone important. He practically got handed Space X by the Government too. Elon Musk is the exact opposite of Nikola Tesla, in that regard. Tesla had to put up all his own money and his inventions were the result of his own creativity and hard work.

What really p~~~es me off is most Millenials thinks Elon Musk is some kind of Hero. F~~~ Elon Musk!

That company has only been able to turn a “profit” by receiving tax dollars.

Earlier this year, President Trump cut off Tesla from receiving in tax dollars. This is why Elon Musk has been acting so screwy the last few months. His company is likely over-extended, with him having no way out of the hole he is in.

A lot of the executives whom have been attacking President Trump have done so because the only way their companies have stayed afloat is due to receiving tax money from the Obama Administration. They are afraid of when President Trump is going to cut them off from the taxpayer money.

He has gotten rich off of the tax payer dime.
Now the Tesla and SpaceX are cool but without tax payer money neither would exist.

    That’s right. +1

Yes he is. He’s a terrible person. But so is Toyota, GM, Ford, Trump and a long list of others.

I just wads t a damn electric commuter car.

Later, I will work on fixing all of the world’s problems. My solution will include/involve wonder woman wearing a pink pussy hat. I will instruct her to bring me Elon’s head!

Hehe, I understand, but the reason Elon p~~~es me off more than the others is because he used Tesla as the name for his company. Tesla (my personal hero) now has to get associated with that Con Man. 🙁 And two of my younger co-workers are obsessed with Elon Musk, and are always telling me about him!!! Can you imagine having to sit through that all day!

Yes he is. He’s a terrible person

I don’t know a damn thing about the dude – or his inherent personhood – except that he’s the co-founder of PayPal ( just learned that yesterday and was blown away ) . . . and that he dumped Amber Heard for an excellent reason.

But there’s a saying I heard when I was a teen, and I never forgot it:

Paraphrasing: “ALL highly successful people had to do SOMETHING slimy to get there – even if it was just to get started.”.

A backhanded business deal. F~~~ing someone over. Lying. Laying off workers without feeling. Whatever it is, the message was basically, whenever someone is a “winner”, someone else had to “lose” something.

This is true – even when buying a house.

If the seller makes a s~~~load at the peak of the market, the buyer over pays.
Implying –>> The seller is the winner.

If the buyer gets a screaming deal…. the seller sold at a loss.

Where someone wins, someone else loses.
But is the “winner” an asshole or a con man for that???
EVERYONE is either one or the other at some time.

Elon will never “lose” by dumping Amber Heard. She wouldn’t give him a positive review, but then again, he didn’t give her one either.

Tesla had to put up all his own money and his inventions were the result of his own creativity and hard work.

From one Electrical Engineer to another, this is what fuels our passion. Not greed for money, power and fame. Tesla lived a life TRUE to himself. His passion was more important than money, power and fame.

Just look at Elon, he just broke up with Depps Ex wife. He clearly is NOT passionate about Engineering. His head is focused on pussy. Most “entrepreneurs” are living a lie, which is why their life is so LIMITED and full of stupid relations~~~ drama.

A true inventor is focused on his passion ENTIRELY, not 99%…..it is 100%.

Just give them a charged capacitor, that will teach them a lesson.

I hear you. But, Tesla is probably his hero too.

Elon made sure that the patents and source code were open to public.

You maybe upset but my thinking is already he is making headway on electric only. Like Tesla he is bucking the system of internal combustion. Without him and govt crap it probably wouldn’t habe happened.

Takes a con man. That’s the best we will get.

Thats exactly how I feel about it too.

I know, You are right. If Nikola Tesla was more cunning and ruthless he wouldn’t have got wrecked financially and ended up indebt to his creditors. That’s the way it goes, talent and vision are squandered and the con man is king in this country.

Elon is a very smart man, he even sued the government for not giving him enough Grant Money ($325 Million was not enough!). If there had been Grants in Tesla’s day, he could have built the first Wireless Power Plant in history!

I would have made a reservation, but all I want out of a car nowadays is autopilot, and the base model isn’t autonomous. I think you have to spend like $5k or $10k more, and even then it isn’t fully autonomous. Tesla says they’re going to make the Model 3 fully autonomous by updating the firmware, but I doubt they’ll be around long enough to do it. I f~~~ing HATE driving and can’t wait until my car can drive me around.

REALLY? I think driving is one of the great joys of life!

Self driving cars? One day you get in, the doors lock, and it takes you down to the police station and books you for misgendering a dog.

    No thanks.
    I would have explosive diarrhea.

As Nikola Tesla has stated: “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration”. This is 100% true.

Most people, like Elon Musk, are of a lower vibrational frequency. It is no surprise they have relations~~~ drama. Their energy is too low to break new barriers and discover new things.

A tranquil mind is neither happy nor sad, it is uninfluenced by external conditions.
