I see these cars from the late sixties and early seventies and I just want one!
Did any of you guys in the states ever get to drive one of these beasts?
Seems like the really cool cars died a death just as feminism was taking a hold.
Those f~~~ing Feminist Tree Huggers sucked all the fun out of life.
What a dreary world we let them create.
GTO, SS, Charger
Bring it on!

First car was a 64′ Mustang and then I had a 70’Chevy Malibu SS.

See my avatar. 1970 Challenger. Race ready.
When women lead, destruction is the destination. -- Me.
My first car was a ’67 Catalina, black with red interior. Two door. Not really a muscle car, but was pretty fast with the 400 cubic inch V8 in it.
@ Solomon,
Man you guys had it good.
In the 70’s our cars were s~~~ in the UK. I heard that the motors on muscle cars were awesome, but the brakes and cornering were dodgy. All straight line speed no handling? Guess I’ll never know. I just can’t get excited about modern cars. Too many computer driving aids. I want to hear the Motor rev and feel the limits of the cornering through the wheel.
Maybe one day I’ll visit the states and hire one out for a drive.
Could be an adventure.

1979 Camero. It wasn’t the fast version though. But it was still pretty sweet. The stereo was loud enough to make you sterile.
I’ve often thought that the car companies should recreate some of the classics. A ’67 Mustang convertible, with all updated technology. ’57 Chevy, ’57 Tbird. I would think the baby boom would buy every one of them that you could build.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. Make the same style and power cars but with better susspension and brakes. I would buy something like that. Something aspirational, but affordable. All cars seem to look the same now. Bland wind tunnel designs. I want American style and power allied to Japanese reliabilty.
I guess I just want to live the dream. Unfortunately I was born in the wrong country.

Anonymous54Your going tovhave to change your name Greg Honda!
I had a bucnch of boats with the big block automatic.
A true muscle car has to be 71 or earlier. Thats when the emissions laws ended it.
I had a real muscle car for 20 minutes.FordnTorino with the 429.
Put u joints in it for a guy with warrants on him.Fired it up for a raod test and….blue lights!! Oh oh..time to go..It had an automatic rear end with a taller gear. He had put in a forspeed in it. My last look at the speedo.90 mph in 2nd gear grabbing my speed shift to 3rd.
No they didnt catch me.

Greg Honda, if you want to see the best muscle car show in the states, then come to Metro Detroit in August for the Woodward Avenue Dream Cruise. It’s the largest, single day car event in the world. I go every year.

I see these cars from the late sixties and early seventies and I just want one! GTO .. SSS …. CHARGER
I agree on Mustang (as pictured in the video) and I think this one blows my hair back the most.

Also like the GTO and I really like the 70s charger (in orange)….. but my “muscle car” of choice is the DeTomaso Pantera (or the Mangusta)
They have a drool factor of 9.9.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.Something like this?
I’m into Hondas via the bikes. I also only drive Japanese now as Gas is expensive and I need reliability with minimal maintenence, and Honda gives me that.
But it’s just transportation, not Aspiration

Oh yeah that’s nice! I love it in orange too.
I saw one of these (Camaro SS) in dark racing green a few days ago. Stared at it for like 10 minutes. I think it riveted me because I had a HotWheels one when I was a little kid.
