What are the advantages of not masturbating again? I missed it.

    Good.

OK. That makes sense actually. Sorry for sort of jumping on the bash bandwagon.

You’re essentially saying you need to be very careful, and make sure you know why you’re doing what you’re doing.

are you a chia pet in man drag

Thanks, I’ll definitely take that lol. It’s cool to have a guy who really does read what I write, rather than twist my words to paint me as some eunuch here to castrate everybody, and then proceed to ignore the things that I say clearly over and over again.

What’s the “EXACT” number we have to limit ourselves to be in “control?”

Zero. That’s the whole point. For one who promotes the values of celibacy, “control” equals total suppression and anyone who is not doing so is “out of control”.

This is why, in my first response, I asked what does a practicing celibate person do with themselves prior to the point of reaching total abstinence and eradication of auto-erotic sexual activity (a state which I believe to be impossible to maintain). I could see the path to attempting to achieve this unnatural state being fraught with self-conflict, guilt and reduced self esteem caused by lapses, backsliding and the general human requirement of not being perfect.

In my opinion, as a proponent of the constrained view (re: Thomas Sowell) any faith, philosophy or prescription that relies on total avoidance of anything which is an otherwise natural part of the human experience is foolish, obsessive perforce and doomed to failure.

Oh, and let me clarify my statements by saying they do not include those pathologically or biologically incapable of sex, actual asexual people or people who, for whatever reason, are psychologically incapable of touching themselves or acquiring a sex partner.

Already being in a sexless state as a result of some other force or process does not require any sort of self-control or mastery. We’re strictly talking about physically and psychologically healthy men who would otherwise be emotionally, mentally and socially capable of experiencing sex but who have specifically chosen to avoid it.

Slaying a puppy with your bare hands is not mastery at combat. Slaying a wolf or a dragon is. In other words, the urge to have sex and the ability to do so must have a fighting chance in the man’s experience in order for avoidance of it to require any meaningful effort of control and therefore be considered celibacy.

I talk about my involuntarily celibate friend form time to time. He’s not a master at suppressing his sexuality, he’s just got deeply rooted psychological issues that make him flee from human contact. His parents and priest maybe could take credit for his avoidance of sex, but he can’t.

I masturbate and I look at porn occasionally. But I have not had sex in almost 7 years.

If you have a boxing or cage match coming up. There is also a possible correlation with baldness since it increases your DHT levels (depending on your genetics).

Second thing is, I didn’t f~~~ing say you have to be celibate or you ain’t s~~~. I didn’t tell anybody what to do. I’ll say it here again, to everybody reading, I do not tell you what to do. It’s so obvious that you said you what said without even paying real attention to what I said. I hit a nerve. Hell, you even admitted that yourself, that my little sentence about people lacking sexual mastery, which looking at it again, it’s a vague f~~~ing thing to say, but still that’s all it took for you to go?

we know you aren’t telling us to do/not do anything,
    sorry i worded myself wrongly,

    when i said
“why the f~~~ should i stop it?”
    i was expressing joy.
