I need to come up with a creative solution to these stupid questions from these people who are positively stupid.

Sometimes I can get pretty negative, but it’s because I’m paying attention to the bulls~~~ I see. I try to avoid touchy subject around family and just enjoy my time with them when I can.

I don’t know why they are saying this to you, but maybe you’re not communicating well with them. I’d either try to adapt my message to make it more palatable to your audience or just avoid topics that are causing the issue.
