Actually, since men are larger on average that women, in case of a tornado, the SPSI (shrapnel per square inch) factor is higher for men, therefore increasing their chances of being “Affected”.

Women are more vulnerable to dangers regardless of dangers (when you use faulty logic)
Even if there was a disaster – say a virus – that only killed men, women would’ve still suffered more. Instead of relatively quick deaths, they’d have to resort to living without providers in crumbling infrastructure with no food and would have suffered greatly.
There would be very little or no male suffering (because they’d all be dead), but women would have suffered greatly
So here you go, leading academics

P.S. If the roles reversed and all women died – there would be hardly any suffering on male part, but instead – the civilization would have flourished beyond the wildest imaginations. Disclaimer: I am not advocating for any of this actually happening
