A question for the married / divorced guys

Hello gentlemen,

I am a young guy at 20 who’s recently discovered the world of MGTOW. Since at my age I am attending college / university. As you can probably imagine I see some many attractive girls once in a while, good ass, nice t~~~, etc. However, learning about them and their manipulation, I have learned that their appearance is just nothing but a trap. So I do my best to try to ignore them. They are hoping they attract their prey and that guy will end up paying for dates (everything she wants), eventually supporting her BS, getting married, having children, divorce, child support, etc. Resulting in loss of money and time.

So when you first met your wife, was it in high school/college/university like the traditional old days? And then have you later regret meeting that girl and getting married? Is all of that worth it?

Here’s the thing. At 20 years old, I have never had a girlfriend. I never had the experience of dating the girl and paying for all kings of expenses later on in life. All of that in just hoping you’ll have sex with her, I don’t think it’s worth going through all that hassle. I wouldn’t know what it’s like going through the same experiences as you guys do.

So far what I’ve learned, at first sight meeting a girl, everything may seem lovely. But later on if you end up marrying her, the relationship just goes blank. Basically at this point, you’re stuck with her. And things start to get worse from there.

Apart from that, what have you learned from your marriage and relationships that you could share with some of us younger folks out there?

Met my ex at a Christmas party. A friend of mine was there. I got a call out of the blue from him saying I should come over and that there were a bunch of hot women there. Normally I would have told him no, but for some reason I went over. Probably just because I hadn’t seen him in a while.

Anyway, I walk in and there is the hottest woman I have ever seen in my life. The rest is history. Do I regret meeting her? Hell yes. Was it worth it? Hell no. I did get two kids out of it that I love more than anyone, but she put me through hell. I was dumb and blue-pill enough to put up with it. I thought that deep down everyone was basically a good person. I was proven wrong. And it cost me about $500,000 to learn that lesson.

But, lesson learned. Not everyone is a good person. With women, it’s more than half. EWALT, enough women are like that. Not going down that rabbit hole ever again.

Marriage & long-term dating are two of the most expensive decisions you can make. Having children is the other, but i never went down that road so can’t comment.

My LT relations~~~s made me completely f~~~ing broke. And emotionally, they drove me the point of near-suicide.

I’m not saying don’t date; and i’m not saying don’t get married. I’m saying, get a better understanding of the risks of marriage & cohabitation (being broke, thrown in jail for domestic violence or child support whether you’re guilty or not). And be extremely clear with yourself about what you want before you take such a big risk. Is there a way to get those benefits without such a huge risk?

What does “Having a girlfriend” mean to you? Because if it’s someone to flirt with, just go on dates w/a lot of different chicks. If it’s getting laid, hire an escort. etc.

I met my first wife in high school. We had an on again off again relationship for about four years. I was head over heels in love even though I knew when I married her that it was a bad choice. She was a barbie doll. I thought a kid would make her grow up. It didn’t. After 4 years of marriage we split up. I got saddled with modest child support and moved on. A lot of other stuff happened, too, that I won’t get into. To this day I regret marrying that witch.
My second wife I met at work a good 6 years later. We had a long distance relationship when I moved back east and she had divorced her second husband. I felt the need to be loved by a woman and wanted a chance to try to make it work with ex number two. She couldn’t have kids, and 13 years later she left me for a guy she travelled with at work. That was an easy divorce, and she’s probably the best thing that ever happened to me as far as women are concerned.
I’d like to add that after my divorce from ex number one, after I’d left the Navy, I dated three married women in college that didn’t see anything wrong with cheating on their husbands with a guy that had no girlfriend. I suffered from loneliness and envied other guys who had live in girlfriends and good relations with them. Looking back on it now, there weren’t really that many guys like that, but at that age I was very impressionable, and smoking a lot of pot, and getting involved with cocaine didn’t help. I guess you could say, I was a mess when I was young. It was the best and worst of times. Now, I’ve quit the singles scene altogether. Women are poison and that’s that.

First off I congratulate you for your bravery in asking this question at such a young age. At your age, I was constantly in fear of not having a girlfriend, like something was wrong with me. Everyone I knew had a girlfriend.

So first thing I would say to you is it is ok not to have a girl friend. The distractions come in three types.

I have been married 4 times with several LTR’s along the way. I didn’t learn till after I turned 60. I just didn’t want to believe it was true, therefore I refused to…. It’s true. I was lucky. I had some bad patches. The thing is…if you don’t marry some chick you meet in highschool/college…its pretty much sharply downhill after that. Looks wise, most women will start hitting the wall in their late 20s. Financially, most women are going to be train wrecks that come bundled with a ton of student debt and a worthless degree. Emotionally most of them are damaged goods from the carousel ride they were(are) on.

As a man I feel like the older I get the less reason I have to get married. For women though…it seems like the older they get, the more desperate they become to get married. Your best bet for now is to just f~~~ing ignore them. Get a good education and a good job…once you do that there will never be a shortage of pussy if you want it. A second key thought, which I figured out much too lat in life, is that you may very well meet the perfect woman of your dreams. Everyone said it here. I was the guitar playing R&R Chad. F~~~ed dudes girlfriends, saw many chicks at the same time pumped and dumped had fun. Wanted a girlfriend but none were worthy. Had a couple live in’s in my 20’s. Both were fun for about 6 months and imploded within a year.

The years rolled by, I still never found someone and got lonely watching everyone else so knew get married, have families etc so I invented one. A ready made family. I dated but was never dumb enough to tie the knot. Closest thing I had was women I lived with. The biggest loss from all those relationships and the dates is time. It is invaluable and immeasurable the loss of time. You are 20 today, before you know it you will be 30, then 40. Don’t waste your life being a f~~~ing simp and chasing after women.
