    There was a 6.6 earthquake here in New Zealand last night at midnight.

    Hope everyone here from New Zealand is ok and safe, are you ok Constantine?

    F~~~ me, i had just fallen asleep at my friends house, and the house started to shake lightly then it built up and went mental. The quake went on for ages, and we were both feeling motion sickness and scared s~~~less so we legged it downstairs outside, dressed in boxer shorts and wearing socks lol.

    There were quite a few people in the street, distressed. Several car alarms going off. I got talking to a neighbour from next door who id never met before.

    Just a horrible reminder of the major 7.1 quake that killed alot of people in 2011. We felt it more because we were in an upstairs flat. I was dead paranoid the whole place was gunn a collapse so i ran out like Usain Bolt.

    I didnt sleep well at all last night. There were a few aftershocks and i was just too s~~~ scared to sleep properly.

    OK f~~~, looks like it was a 7.8!!!!! Jesus, no wonder it felt so bad!

    Haha. Yeh man, still alive. F~~~ these earthquakes, its such a p~~~ take. They never end. Before the one last night, we still get minor earthquakes here and there. It’s very unsettling.

    Earthquakes are, we have minor ones that give your house a good shake but they are very brief and they don’t threaten me. But the one last night scared the f~~~ out of me because it went on for about 3 mins. And you need to get the hell out of where you are if it goes on for that long as it can cause serious structural damage. Saying that tho, people have been killed from falling debris running out of buildings.

    Everyone in NZ will be on edge once again for a long time. Sigh.

    Glad you are OK and safe. Never been in a earthquake so I can’t even imagine what its like.

    Good to hear you´re safe, yeah they´re stating it was 7.8, just experienced one 2 yrs ago, my first one, but only 4.2 and it shook this solid concrete building I live in.
    7.8 would´ve scared me too for sure and I would´ve left the building running….

    It’s very unnerving. Lots of staff cant turn up to work today as they live in parts of the city that had to be evacuated.

    Must be from all the people ‘literally shaking’ after trump got elected… never seen so many people post they were literally shaking. Not sure where that turn of phrase came from nor am I entirely sure what it means especially since it implies the existence of figuratively shaking.

    The 25 year old dude who did my tattoo was crushed to death in the 2011 earthquake running out of the shop. He was hit by falling debris and died immediately. Horrible s~~~. The receptionist there broke her back running out as well.

    I heard something about tsunami warnings, bad day to go surfing! vertigo? That’s something you feel out in ocean! I’m glad I don’t live where the land becomes ocean!

    Isn’t allot of your construction Gothic concrete from the 1930s’, at least that was my impression of NZ. I’ll take a well built wood structure over blocks and concrete in an earthquake any day! Except when it comes to fire after the quake…

    Well im not from New Zealand so i haven’t a clue but their buildings are built like s~~~. The tv station building here collapsed in 2011 and everyone in it perished. They then discovered it was built like absolute dog s~~~.
