This is a tragic story. No DNA evidence was involved in his conviction, only the testimony of some lying female.

False accusation is real.

Women continue to use false accusation because the consequences are almost non-existent.
We all know the court system supports feminists.

I see the guy is suing. Hopefully his lawsuit will be successful and he can enjoy the remainder of his life.

I am not saying that he is guilty of the act of rape.

Prosecutors should be required to have more than just the statement of a lying woman/girl before they are able to charge a guy like him with a crime.

However. For those of you that did not read the entire article.

His case was vacated and/or the conviction overturned due to an appeals court finding that she lied about something at the original trial, which was whether or not she had ever had sex before/prior and in her original testimony she said she was a virgin which since then turned out to have been found out to be a lie. No details regarding that were released but I am thinking that the only actual evidence that she was not a virgin would be records that prior to the incident, she had actually had an abortion.

Now with that being said. She is still claiming that he raped her. And he was not free to just walk out of prison. He is out on a $10,000 bond with the prosecutors in the county he was initially charged in over two decades ago being given 90 days to re-file charges on the original case and bring him to trial again.

And for all of you legal experts out there: Him being charged again and brought to trial is not ‘double jeopardy’. Since the original conviction was thrown out, the clock starts over.

He is still at risk of being charged with the crime and going to trial for this and in lieu of being out on a bond, he is still not a free man.

In order for false rape accusations to end:

Prosecutors are going to have to start being held accountable for this stuff as well.

A woman can lie and claim she is raped, but it is just an accusation until a prosecutor who is given power by the state decides to charge an innocent man with a crime and destroy his life.
