The media is definitely hyping this to hurt Trump, but I think there is a lot of momentum left in this virus.
The virus will probably reinfect a lot of people in China and other places again.
I think it’s going to hit the US hard in a few weeks, but thanks to all of the hype and precautions, the virus will probably not be as damaging as it would have been without precautions.
In essence, the media is helping Trump, and the rest of the US, keep the virus less deadly that it could be if there were less concern over it.
Hopefully, by summertime, we can all forget it ever happened.
Now I’m wondering how the left will be able to extend the hype and drama through to election day.
I suppose the other scenario would be if they think that Smokin’ Joe can actually beat Trump. Then the D’s would have a VP candidate that they want to take over and have Joe step down a year or so after his victory.
This is very similar to the scenario that played out at the last British election.
The Establishment needed to beat the socialists. They out up a slew of leadership candidates, but they all flopped. So they came back to a man that they didn’t want, but who could win.
And win he did. Now that they are in with a huge majority, they are trying to get rid of him and replace him with one of their own.
The only sane explanation for the DNC backing someone who’s senility is getting noticeably worse by the day is to replace him with someone else at the convention. That replacement will likely be Hillary.
The best losers in this situation are the other democrat candidates who dropped out and believe that Biden is going to keep his quid pro quo promises to them.

America had minimal exposure to this and the economy here has taken a hit. The financial markets have gotten ugly over here and I see it as a way to slow down our economy and in the process make our President look bad before the elections. The left and most of the media clearly do not want Donald Trump as President for four more years and this sky-is-falling mentality has proven that.

As for the cronavirus. From the way the spread is happening outside of China, the rich and government workers are the patient zeros spreading the disease from location to location. That means health checks and quarantines will not work because the rich and government are exempt from such measures.
