As a very young man,I realized that the social norms that allowed for unprecedented growth and prosperity were being challenged and redefined by a rebellious generation whose main goal was to annihilate the Established patriarchal system in an attempt at equality. The subsequent repercussions are being borne out in all aspects of our society . Men have beared the brunt from this campaign of role reversal and redefinition. This un-natural shift has left several generations of young men searching for an identity in a society that tells them their time has past and they must now move aside and, in wanten silence, watch as the world their forefathers created be brought asunder. We must endeavor to mentor young men in an effort to keep the traditions of our patriarchal forebearers alive and viable. Masculinity is not a curse to be warded off but an attribute to be celebrated and revered. Man Up.
