Women have always been associated with nurturing and caring for things which is why something that is green is associated with women. We all know that women can be just as destructive as men.
In the case of the batteries, men want what is going to work and work the best. His goal is the task at hand which is probably something that requires an energy source. Saving the earth at this point is irrelevant. If his task was saving the environment, then the greenness of the batteries would come into play.

F~~~ that! They didn’t look at what people actually do, they asked about if it is feminine to recycle.

Women buy 80% of the s~~~ out there. That big f~~~ing pile of plastic twice the size of Texas swirling around in the middle of the Pacific Ocean? 80% of that was made by women.

Guys eat more meat? How many animals get killed by men each year to test make-up products for us? Um, that’s zero right? At least we eat the meat of the animals we kill. We don’t use them to test out different ways to keep the wall away for a few more years so we can extend the amount of time we can steal men’s money.

Naaah really, less than 500 “students” in two surveys, now that´s what I call representative! The links they put in their article the same, no real representative study included or citing themselves (WP).

I don’t even read it, I don’t even open the link.
It’s based on one of the most extreme radical feminist theories, basically describing men as polluting the planet, it leads to dehumanization of men and basically a call for extermination or at least a reduction of the percentage of men.
