Communist women enjoyed a degree of self-sufficiency that few Western women could have imagined. Eastern bloc women did not need to marry, or have sex, for money. The socialist state met their basic needs and countries such as Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia and East Germany committed extra resources to support single mothers, divorcées and widows.

East German women didn’t have to marry or have sex for money!! How nice, now where do you suppose the money they needed to live on came from then?

Well, from Men, of course, who did work.

Females, not working, not raising kids, not pregnant, not caring for someone who is working, they were taken care of by the state. Which got the money to give to women from the MEN who did work. Basically because they are female.

I guess you can call that being self sufficient.

Well, you need to know better what “taken care of” USSR Communism Style was 😉 .

Not working, unless you got medical condition, getting education etc. was considered parasitism and illegal in USSR, and that was embedded into USSR constitution. You could get “employed” in prison for that.

Only married housewifes which had kids could be exempt, but Party expected them to work pretty hard on children and house, strong shaming otherwise.
Literally 0% unemployment within “legal sector”.

That was completely different not only economic system, but way of life and way of thinking too. You could say in communism was better this aspect, in capitalism was better that aspect, but they were a whole package deal.

Everything is owned by the state. Citizens are essentially slaves to the state. Accepted due to belief in a political ideology.

Capitalism:

Everything (In the US, 4% own over 90% of all wealth) is owned by the elite. Citizens are essentially slaves to the rich / elite. Accepted due to belief in an economic illusion.

Well, you gotta admit, there’s got to be some stimulus for vast majority people to work and be good, otherwise they’ll be just lazy pricks. In modern society almost all the stimulus was taken off for women, and look at the result.

Also, different social formations are effective at different “environmental” conditions. Communism is effective while disasters and wars. Dats why Communism goverments won most wars and then sucked in time of relative peace.

Pray with full faith to whatever you believe so that communism wouldn’t become “effective and modern social order” for you…
