Due to the Equifax data breach?

    From: https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/blog/2017/09/equifax-data-breach-what-do

“If you have a credit report, there’s a good chance that you’re one of the 143 million American consumers whose sensitive personal information was exposed in a data breach at Equifax, one of the nation’s three major credit reporting agencies.

Here are the facts, according to Equifax. The breach lasted from mid-May through July. The hackers accessed people’s names, Social Security numbers, birth dates, addresses and, in some instances, driver’s license numbers. They also stole credit card numbers for about 209,000 people and dispute documents with personal identifying information for about 182,000 people. And they grabbed personal information of people in the UK and Canada too.”

If you’ve been MGTOW for awhile you may have an exceptional credit score.
If you’re a young MGTOW, and no longer sponsoring a vagina, you may soon have an exceptional credit score. Don’t let scumbag hackers ruin that for you.

Placing a freeze on your credit reports means that the hackers can’t open a credit account or take out a loan in your name, since a credit check will be impossible to do with the freeze in place. You can unfreeze them whenever you want.

Here are links to the 3 credit agencies to place a freeze if you choose to do so. It’s quick and easy to do. In California I paid 10 bucks each to Experian and TransUnion, while Equifax was free. (charges vary by state)

That is some great information. Good time to double check credit activity as well.

Don't chase tail. Turn yours around, walk away, and live free!

I believe you can put a fraud alert and they give you 90 days of protection. All you need is to notify only one of them. Then, they will contact the other two. They will give you the date that your fraud alert will expire and then you can choose to renew it again. For me, I locked my credit early in August.
