I’ll help another man because I know that in some way, being a man, he will pay it forward. What goes around comes around, and I may find myself in need of help some day. It all goes back to the old hunter role in the hunter / gatherer dichotomy. Men, being disposable hunters, evolved to help other men, because you never know when it would be your own butt needing saving from the saber tooth cat.

Women, being protected gatherers safe back at the village, operate in a completely different ethos: a mercantile one of barter and exchange and debt and profit. When you help a woman for nothing at most she will think to herself that she has scammed you out of something for nothing. Or she will simply think she is entitled to free help from you; you owe her a debt of service because she has a vagina.

What she will never do is pay it forward. Ever. So what’s the point in helping her? At least unless she makes it worth your while in a very immediate manner.

All dealings I have with women have this as deal breaker, if there is no incentive offered that at least is reasonable.

Chivalry isn’t for women any way, it was meant between two knights, honouring and showing respect for each other.

Well… The last time I checked Chivalry’s Code, there was just one thing about c~~~s, and that only tells me to respect them, not to be kind, generous and s~~~. Just respect. I respect them by not even talking to them, by not pandering, by not giving a f~~~ to them.

Haha I go a half hour before they close for the same reason. When nobody is in there it takes me 10-15 minutes to run a lap around the store and get everything I need, and if there is a line to check out its usually 1 person. I’ve spent more time in the grocery store stopping in for one thing after work than it takes to fill up a cart late at night.

so i googled it and got nothing but pictures of knights and the like. then i researched the definition, and understood a smidgen more.
it seems that chivalry is in fact dead. seems it died sometime around the late 1960’s. who knew?
apparently being a gentile has taken its place.
gentlemen now rule the once chivalrous world, they are respectful towards other men, but have no agenda other than to give and receive respect from others. on a very strict scale.
seems like cause worthy title.

Never is, brother… You are absolutely right!

I just tried to respond with sarcasm, but I failed. Sorry about that.

They expect us to compensate them for their time and “troubles”, while we never pushed them over our troubles, like they do.

In fact, marriage for men is “Ok, now I have a thousand or more extra problems. How would I deal with these?”, while for women is “I have my own problems. How do they expect me to deal with their problems?”.

That is the essential difference. That is why chivalry is for men to men.

That is how we help each other and recognize their troubles and struggles, and the accomplishment that they deserve.

Chivalry is anything, but dead. We just saw WHAT, WHY and TO WHO chivalry really is, and use them with who it was made for.
