Whether you’re looking to save money on your food shop, or just eat better quality food for less, I thought I’d share a recipe for chilli I make in the slow cooker.

I find a slow cooker handy, because I can make a big batch and then get some plastic containers and freeze it in portions. Then I can just take it out when I need it.

If it’s popular I may follow up with other recipes for beef stew, steak and ale pie, chicken curries etc.

I buy frozen meat and vegetables as they’re cheaper and already chopped up. So all I have to do is throw it all in the pot and turn it on.

Just defrost any meat and veg in the fridge overnight so it’s easier for slow cooker to heat up. If you don’t have a slow cooker, you can use a big pan on low heat.

    Ye Olde Chilli recipe

    4 x 400g tins of chopped tomatoes
    100g of tomato puree
    1 bulb of garlic chopped
fresh chillies chopped (to suit your taste for hotness)
2 x 1kg bags of frozen mince beef
2 x 500g bags of frozen chopped onions
2 x 500g bags of frozen sliced mixed peppers
    4 vegetable stock cubes
    2 x 400g tin of kidney beans
chilli powder (to suit your own taste)
    salt and pepper

Put everything in the pot together, turn on a low heat. leave for a few hours and stir occasionally. season with chilli powder, salt and pepper to suit your taste.

Any questions or not sure about anything, just ask.

Enjoy with a nice cold beer and rice.

May you walk in peace and happiness, May you and all mgtow, near and far walk in peace and happiness.

The slow cooker appears to be a must in the kitchen for people who want to save time, money and eat home made food.

@Ye Olde Will Robinson don’t wait for anyone to ask you for more recipes. I suggest getting them out there on the forums. I think I speak for all the brothers here in saying we all love good food.

Crockpot is my favorite way to go about cooking.

Still eating on the chili I made on Thursday and I’ve been eating it for lunch and dinner.

I will eat chili under one condition: not spicy. I hate spicy food!

Last month I made a double vegetable soup and it was real good. I made it in a large crockpot. It put in celery, a bag of carrots, minced garlic, 2 large cans of diced tomatoes, green beans, white kidney beans, my dad’s homemade tomato juiced he made from the garden every summer (NO WATER). That large crockpot of soup only lasted 3 days, it was so good. I make it every winter, because soup is good when it’s cold outside.
