Hi all my my x has left me with a £1,630.00 bill whats happed is i have never had anything to do with our kid as she won,t
let me have our kid i would like to have her on week ends she took her to a day care and left a outstanding bill there
and put my name dawn and put my mum & dad,s address on the form i have never had anything to do with our kid
and now i found out she has moved home so now i don,t know where she has gone with our kid now i,m told that a
debt collection ageny is comming after me now going to phone the day care head office tommorw to see if i
can get out of this as i have never had anything to do with this any one got any advice on what i can do
thanks for your time in reading.Tell the debt collection agency that the debt was contracted fraudulently and that you will not be paying so much as a farthing. A partial payment is an acknowledgement of the debt and could be used against you should you tangle with the collectors in court.
I would also suggest making a police report as the t~~~ defrauded the day care company.
If they are bothering your telephone, use this template –

Keep a legal pad and pen on the top of your desk, write down everything. Get on the phone with parents, relatives friends, and get their advice, and consider the source. Hopefully you’ll get more responses here, I just happened to be first.
The best advice I ever received for dealing with these things is…….before you get on the phone with or appear at the day care center, “pray and then only ask questions.” This was a mind blower, it really shows what’s going on in the conversation. The one asking the questions CONTROLS the conversation. Insurance companies put people in a “full nelson” via this technique, and abusing it seems to be their protocol.
Another step is to appeal conversationally any decision i.e. appeal it to a higher level e.g. “May I please speak to your supervisor?” “You’ve been very professional, but are you not going to put me through to your supervisor?” “Do you realize that this is the fifth time I’ve asked to speak to your supervisor?” etc. It might take climbing their power ladder more than one step. Everything you say has to end in a question mark
Document in infinite detail, all the crap your ex has pulled for later.
Keep a pad and pencil on your nightstand so when you awaken in the night with a thought on this, you can write it down and work on it in the morning. This allows you to let go of the thought and get back to sleep. Sleep is crucial in these situations.
When you talk to the agency, sometimes it helps to do so at a less busy time of day. Also, if it’s a large agency, and you get answered by a jerk, politely get off the line and call a few hours later so maybe you don’t get the jerk.
Hope this helps.
Be thorough in your search for guys who’ve gone through the same BS and how they dealt with it.
Thoroughly web search parallel situations others have found themselves in.
Be sure and get each person’s name. “Could I have your name please?”, right off the bat, helps reduce BS behavior on their part. Finding a worker who is empathetic helps immeasurably. Sometimes they get tired of witnessing the BS and will give you helpful pointers.
"It seems like there's times a body gets struck down so low, there ain't a power on earth that can ever bring him up again. Seems like something inside dies so he don't even want to get up again. But he does."
