The San Francisco Gate never fails to amuse:

Dominique Crenn named World’s Best Female Chef

From the comments: “The lack of a penis means very little when accomplishing cooking tasks.”

Okay then, let’s do away with the “female” part and then rank this person with the other chefs. I am curious… where does the world’s best female chef rank among all chefs… top ten? Fifty? Five hundred?

I’d ask the question in the article comments but I’ve already been banned for repeated violations of the verbal purity code.

That’s why they won’t rank her among men..

@docfenderson. Delighted to read your post(s) today.

i still have not found a women that can cook from scratch to any decent standard,

I have not either. No woman in my personal life was ever able to prepare a meal as well as I. I also spoke to chefs in restaurants I worked in – always coincidentally (or not coincidentally) MEN – who taught me a few things like how to prepare sole, fish steaks, seafood pasta, and some really great stuff — including presentation.

I have never even seen a girlfriend prepare a decent omelette properly. The woman who taught em how to make a great omelette was a female, but I have blown the minds of even my Mom and her sister. They BAKE better than me though.

I can’t bake for s~~~ (never really tried, but I did burn cookies once).
That’s why I use my oven for storage.

Part of it is CREATIVITY, and we know women lack in that department. If you hand them a recipe card, they can follow it, but get them to CREATE a meal – form scratch – and they are stuck. An ex-girlfeiend of mine thought “separate the eggs” on a recipe card meant pushing them apart on the counter. I kid you not.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

I know of one women below age fifty (she is in her thirties) that is a very good cook. Not a relative, I was not dating her, but I was invited to dinner to her family’s home. That was a good dinner. She is a amazing cook.

It takes no creativity to bake. In fact, creative baking produces disasters unless you’re REALLY skilled.

The last time a girlfriend, date or lover cooked an entire meal for me? I can’t remember it. I don’t believe it’s ever happened.

Furthermore, if you remove the Best Female _____ category, females won’t win, they won’t place… and after a little while, they won’t even show. This is why we still have them. Pick the best female *anything* that doesn’t require having a vagina to do and match her fairly against the entire field of men and show me ONE that turns up in the top 20.

First, this sounds like something more promotional to me than anything else. Michelin rates her at two stars.

This is overlooking Anne Sophie Pic (***), Clare Smyth (***) and other women with two or more stars.

I am simply using the Michelin Guide to keep it all “Apples to Apples”. My question is who decided she was the best female chef ?

Sounds like promotional BS to me.

Women defeat their own arguments all the time.

If she is a good or best chef then fine say she is but the second you put female in front it makes it sound like she has just beaten other females and can’t compete with men.

But if they don’t put female in front they lose their story and hype.

    Equality my arse.

Only a hand full of old tradcon women in my family actually know how to cook well. I learned from my mom how to cook and now I can out cook any one of them because I actually used to be obsessed with shows like Chopped and Kitchen Nightmares.

Along with those, I actually looked up on Youtube on how to prepare s~~~ like fish and chicken from scratch. Now I even know how to bleed out a chicken and gut it if I had to.

These experiences alone have taught me to cook better than any woman in my family. I even know how to bake s~~~ from scratch.

But modern women? They can’t cook for s~~~. Most don’t even know how to cook f~~~ing microwave popcorn. I’ve seen some even burn it.

Men age like fine wine. Women age like milk. "One hundred women are not worth a single testicle." -Confucius
