Working with a Woman, Again

So those who have followed my posts on the work situation know that at the ambulance company I was partnered with a woman before my second bout with back troubles. Long story short the last one I worked with was a blessing by comparison with the woman I was stuck with now. This new woman partner is a strongly opinionated liberal feminist who is very tight with the boss. She is also know to be easily offended. Quite the opposite of the first woman I was partnered with. Got tricked into a brief political discussion, dumbass me. Navigated it well I believe. Next one around I just will not participate in. My goal is to make my work partnership with this new gal work so I can get to the point where I am leaving the job on good terms for school. Wish me luck brothers. I am thinking of dropping this job for full time schooling in civil engineering and continuing to work at the fire house part time as I always have done.

Just got off shift and thought I’d share an update before I go in tomorrow. I am hoping it is not so bad, this new gal is quite happy to work with me since I am good at tuning things out giving me quite the laid back approach.

I am trying to master that skill. My goal is to master it very soon. It is proving hard for me, I catch myself a little too late. SO far I have been able to avoid crisis. I think I need to be reading more on the down times at work than talking.

I do this on my phone. Its great at work. You look on here, and feel better, so you wont feel that need to flaten them so much.

Working with weemins advice:
1- Open your mouth ONLY if it has to do with work.
2- Let her think she’s right, always.
3- Your opinions are great, but only in the comfort of your own home.
4- Casual-dress social work gatherings are anything but.
5- NEVER go out with a co-worker.

HAHA! I never would have thought of that! Excellent point. The urge to flatten them can be strong at times, haha. I want to flatten them with pure logic. Got a good view of the hamster wheel yesterday when I let myself get involved in that discussion. It was like waiting for the computer to do something and seeing the frame freeze with the little hour glass icon letting you know it was thinking. Quite funny to see it.

Thank you. I would say the most difficult one for me is number 2. It is painful, but I must learn to deal with it for employments sake. It is just hard to let illogical overly emotional tyranny think it is right.
