Nothing personal but I have had some-what less time for MGTOW or anything else because I am putting in the overtime till mid-March (I then have a paid vacation I must take or lose). I bid on a longer schedule last December and got it. My wife hoodwinked me out of my money to fix my roof last year, it won’t happen again. I expect wood damage by now and it just keeps raining, so I will just keep making more money to fix it then add my tax return. I see this as the cornerstone in recovering from last year. The way I see it, in the worst case scenario: As long as I have a good roof and can pay the property taxes, I will have a home till the day I die. It’s little more than a shotgun house and has its problems but it sure beats living on the streets. A man with a home paid for is at the halfway point to retirement and it doesn’t matter if it’s a mansion or a rat-hole. In fact, one is better off with having the rat-hole in many aspects and it’s all a man needs. No more woman telling me she wants a bigger house to put more junk in. No more busting my ass for a bigger home, only to have nothing to show for it when the bottom drops. That my fellow MGTOW’s, is what I call Freedom!

The next steps? Put a muffler on my car and divorce the bitch. After that, get out of debt in which much is due to my wife. That’s my game plan anyway. Gotta be at work in an hour, putting in ten and a half tonight.

Divorce the bitch first and take stock of what you have left to fix afterwards.
Why fix the roof if she takes the house?
Why fix the muffler if she takes the car?
    Here’s the plan:
    1- Divorce
2- See what you have left and fix that.

Can you get up there and put some tarps up on roof or do a temporary repair yourself until you can afford more permanent repair?

I did so on the other side but on one side, no. The easy side was re-roofed in 2013. The last time I tried the other side, I wound up breaking my arm in two places. The roofing is more difficult now, it’s like sitting on marbles at a steep angle.

Do you have a chimney or a large tree near the house? You can attach a rope round your waist so you don’t break another bone if you slip and fall.
Do you use ladders positioned across the roof for secure footing?
I used to work on roofs extensively, there are a hundred tricks to secure yourself on roofs, Sparky.
    Do be careful, buddy.

A forward thinking man with a plan who is creating a future for himself. HIS WAY.

    Good news Sparky.

And ounce of prevention, Sparky. Don’t you break another bone or I’ll personally come to your place and take over the repairs at no cost to you.

Yes I have a chimney. I was holding onto it when a brick broke off and that is how I fell off the roof. I have broken my left arm in five places over three occasions plus my left foot twice and a finger and rib, all on the left side. I admit I am a klutz, it is better to admit it than deny it and wind up in the ER again. The roofing you are showing is the exact roofing I am using.
