I was watching the trailer to “Finding Dory,” then this video came up next automatically. These girls list their reasons for why they like Justin Bieber. I find it funny that none of them seemed to make any compliments towards his supposed “talent” or “songwriting.” It was literally ALL about his LOOKS. “His hair, his eyes, his…abs…teehee!” Disgusting.

Hey ladies, you failed to mention the other reason you like him. His money.

It is herd mentality. The group thinks that he is worth there time, so they all pay attention to him.

On the issue of music. I think the band, the Eagles, understood women the most. Many of their songs could resonate with the MGTOW. Take It Easy (how women in general wish to possess, control, and destroy men), Witchy Woman (how a woman will cheat on a man, while still looking pretty), Hotel California (the dangers of marriage, and how it is impossible to escape the ramifications of getting married)… I could go on, but you get the idea.

I thought that was about heroine addiction? Stab at it with their steely knives (needles) but can’t kill the beast….. check out any time you like but never leave.

Of course there are marked similarities between heroine addiction and realtionships/marriage on the physiological level (dopamine receptors, etc).

The point was that you can see how they try to play it off, like they like him for his “good looks” and all that typical stuff. But notice that NONE of them say “he makes a lot of money,” but that’s DEFINITELY what they’re after. One of them wants him to be her fragging HUSBAND. She doesn’t even know the guy. Further proof that you don’t have to know the woman to get her to want to marry you. Just be rich, good-looking, fit, and popular…and you’re set. They’ll JUMP at the chance to get those resources off of you.

Couldn’t agree with you more. Hotel California I think works on a lot of levels. I like the heroin explanation for the song, as well as the regional explanation, but yours makes sense too. Songs are more than the songwriter’s conscious explanations for what they wrote.

Lots and lots of similarities between hard drugs and addictions to women. A lot of the receptors are used for both; that is why it’s so hard to kick women, and so f~~~ing overwhelming when you realize that much of the attraction is chemical. As I keep saying – because I’ve realized so recently – when we were young, girls were boring and stupid. Once the hormones kicked in, they became fascinating and desirable. Once you get over the hormones, they’re boring and stupid again, and you’re basically a recovering drug addict with decades of addiction to get over. The Red Pill is shocking on many, many levels. This is NOT mild stuff we’re going through. This is not “gee, I thought engines worked this way, guess they work that way”. This really is the f~~~ing Matrix here. This is as basic and chemical as it gets. It is f~~~ing primal. Realizing why we’ve done what we’ve done – hormonal and chemical and biological programming – and releasing ourselves from it is NOT a small thing.

I have no idea why the f~~~ women worship celebrities. “Because they’re idiots” has always been my thoughts. I went through a brief celebrity-worship phase . . . when I was eight or nine. I really wanted to meet KISS, the Bee Gees, and a few others. Then I got to junior high school, and said f~~~ it. I think most women never really get past age eight or nine mentally. There are a couple of people I’d enjoy meeting: Getty Lee, because I suck at drumming, and he doesn’t. But I don’t think he’s a god. He’s just a really amazing drummer. A few authors and philosophers. All of whom are just guys, even if they’re good at something.

I don’t quite understand the draw to celebrities and why people (especially women) seem to get so wrapped up in it. Just seems like such a tremendous waste of time. It’s clear that they don’t want to take charge of their own life, develop skills, interests, hobbies, build character – i.e. things that would make them interesting – so maybe they’re just settling for living vicariously through people that are “exciting”?

In a similar vein, I also don’t understand the common man’s obsession with sports as a spectator – participating is awesome – but sitting there on your ass for hours on end on a perfectly good Saturday or Sunday, getting invested in the game as though they themselves are playing or contributing to a win in any way….don’t get it.

Hard for me to think of one and not the other – I’ll say that I’m not particularly a fan of double standards. If we could irradicate all of this behavior it would be awesome imo.

I’d advise the guys to nip this right in the bud quickly. I knew a guy, his girl was watching TV and there was a singer she liked on there. She said, “Oh man [the celeb] can hit this,” she said jokingly. But that cannot be seen as a joke–think about it.
